Anyone ever left anything besides a pillowcase to be signed? Looking for something a litte different.

We couldn't find any Disney type pillowcases before our 2002 land/sea that the kids wanted signed and they didn't want just pure white ones so one night at Epcot at the Mousewerks store we found beach towels with the kids hero's on them...Buzz, the princesses and Mickey. I dropped them off with sharpies and had the towels signed. We picked them up the day before CC and used them on the beach! It was great!!! My 9 year old also got a baseball cap signed by all the characters as well.

We got a DCL t-shirt in Mickey's Mates and got that signed. Love the Beach towel - will have to do that next cruise.

I don't know what restrictions Guest Services would have but .....

What about leaving a tshirt? Maybe one purchased in the giftshop with the ship/logo on it?

How about a piece of paper...archive quality...maybe print some of the characters on it or the Disney logo and have then sign that, then frame it when you get back? You could transport it on the bottom of your suitcase with 2 pieces of cardboard? You could even make it as small as a door sign...or make it similar to...and have it signed to frame. Could even get a nice frame on board, I am sure.

A baseball cap, a throw pillow, a beach towel, ....I am drawing a blank now....

I bought an "autograph bear" from the Oriental Trading company that I was going to use at my wedding. Now, I'll be using it instead for our Disney Wonder honeymoon!!

someone in front of me was picking up a baseball cap that they rqstd be signed!!

Car cover, flag, placemat, napkin, wedding dress?

I'm a kindergarten teacher and would love to bring back something autographed for my children - I teach in a very poor rural area and many of these children will never leave their small town. Does anyone know how many items they will autograph for one passenger? Thanks.

For our wedding reception, we got an archive-quality photo mat and had everyone sign it. Then we had it framed around our engagement photo, and it sits over our mantle to this day, reminding us of our wedding day and all our friends and family.

I think we might do that with an 11x14 mat... then we can have an 8x10 from the cruise framed in it.

Ok, I'm new to the DCL forums, and I've seen this thread several times but just now read it, so I have to ask. I can see that the characters sign these things for you, but do you just leave them in your stateroom, or do you have to take them somewhere else onboard?

CptJack--You take whatever you want signed with usually some type of permanent marker like a Sharpie or laundry marker and put it in a bag with your stateroom number and name on it to Guest Services on I think the 3rd deck. They usually tell you when you can pick them up and they have them back in the bag along with our pens.

Hope that helps

Ty Heidi, it does help very much, and what a cool thing to have done. Sounds like it would be a good surprise for the kids!!!

You are very welcome! We did Beach Towels for our kids (and a hat for my oldest DS) and they used them on Castaway Cay and everyone was asking about them! The kids still use them to this day and I think we'll do it again this time for them as they have used the towels every night almost for 2 years! LOL

It's very simple and a great souvenier.
