I found a text book i would like to read but amazon has it for $100 to $150. Any other sites to check to find it cheaper? Do any overdrive libraries cary ebook versions of text books (like the Philadelphia library?) I would rather own the book but can't believe how expensive it is.

I found chegg.com in my last year of college. You rent the book for the semester so the cost is WAY cheaper then buying and then you return it when you are done.

I rent most of my books from campusbookrentals.com Always get good price and great service. However before I rent anything, I put the isbn into bing...brings up all kinds of sites with the book at discount or rentals. Gives me a chance to compare. I have saved about 70% each quarter by renting.

I always find it best to buy a used copy on Amazon and sell it back when you are done reading it.

You can usually find last year's edition on Amazon for a fraction of this year's book, and nothing important has changed. I did this the whole time I was in grad school.

I've also used chegg with success for renting and then mostly half.com or amazon for purchasing the books outright

Use BIGWORDS.COM!!! It will tell you who has the lowest price! Love that sight. You can also use it to sell back your books and see who is paying the highest.
