I am a veteran solo traveler to WDW. I have had lots of solo trips and LOVE them! One of the things I have not done yet is a water park. Actually, I have never been to a water park...ever in my life.

I have another solo trip coming up. I recently hit the 100 pound milestone in my weightloss and I want to celebrate by moving out of my normal comfort zone. Any tips for a newbie going to a water park solo? Which one should I try?

Oh, and I should mention that I have a premium AP, I am going the 1st week in September, and I am thinking Typhoon Lagoon would be best for me (but willing to consider either).

Thanks!!

I'm planning on going to Blizzard beach during my solo trip in a few weeks. I've been to both water parks, but I wanted a more tropical feel so I had decided to do Typhoon lagoon, but then I read up on the transportation problems and decided to switch.

To get back from TL after 2pm, you first have to take a bus to Epcot, then switch buses to get to your resort. BB just goes directly to/from the resorts.

Hi I'll be there solo Sept 2nd to 6th and have free water park fix from the Poly…was wondering about solo water park as well. Also I'm organizing a September solo meet up (see thread)…You interested?

Hi when are yopu going?
See September solo meet up thread!

Are there a lot of adult groups going to the water parks? I avoided them both last time because I had a (mistaken?) impression that it would be almost entirely parents with their kids, or teenager groups, and I'd be the one adult around without a child.

I wasn't worried about that in theme parks.

I am going solo in January and hoping it's warm enough to try whichever park is actually open! I already bought my tickets with the waterpark option, so I am crossing my fingers! I am looking forward to seeing what advice some of you may have for us solo visitors. I am doing the Dopey Challenge as part of Marathon weekend there, so I am really looking to just relax at a park where I don't have to be on my feet all day.

I like going solo to Blizzard Beach because it seems less crowded. I only bring a towel in a beach bag and then put it behind a chair somewhere isolated. I like to just stay all day in the lazy river.

I have gone to Typhoon Lagoon solo a time or two. Either would be fine, but I really enjoy relaxing in the lazy river, swimming nice with the sharks, and riding the Crush n Gusher. You can't do the last two at BB but, more importantly, the lazy river at TL is so nice with all the plants and trees and what not.

I love the water parks and we hit them every time we visit. It is in lieu of a resort day. I prefer TL as I love the wave pool and the lazy river plus the tropical feel. I do the snorkelling once but I am a big ocean snorkeller so I am a bit spoiled. Oh yes, I went twice last visit, three adults, no kids.
