Our family tried Antojitos Authentic Mexican restaurant at citywalk on our vacation to Universal in May. The waitress was awesome the food was not so good. On our arrival we were seated in one of the birdcage tables. The waitress brought us a bowl of chips and salsa. The chips were so broken up you could not even sample the salsa. I asked for another bowl of chips and we sampled the salsa. It was not to bad. Then came dinner. We all ordered something different. All the entrees were not cheap.

I don't mind paying the prices if the quality is good. I ordered the Carne Asada. There were a few small pieces of skirt steak a half teaspoon of queso cheese and a very small crock of over cooked black beans and flour tortias(15.95). My daughter in law ordered the Mar y Tierra stew (17.95)She said it was not to bad but, that was before she found the long brown hair in her rice and almost threw up.

Others in our party ordered taco's and burritos. There was hardly any stuffing in the taco's and burritos. I was really disappointed in this restaurant. I cook Mexican food at home a lot. This place is not going to last unless they change the quality of food, presentation and kitchen quality control. I felt sorry for the waitress. She has no control over the food coming from the kitchen.

Save your money. I wished I had went to Moe's. The food is better there.

We did goes to Moe's a few evenings later. It was good.

I agree. I've been twice and the food was not good. Service was good on our first visit which was not too long after the restaurant opened. We tried it again at the end of May and the food and service were garbage. Never again!

thanks for the reviews and heads up homies!

i almost went to that place last year on my last day of my vacation.

the menu didn't thrill me.
was concerned it would be more americanized mexican food.
so i took a pass.

think i will continue taking a pass for this place.

I usually don't review the eateries but I will chime in with my experience. I know everyone has different tastes and opinions but to you Mac....skip it! I also ate at Vivo's last trip and thought it was terrible. Although I know some didn't like Pastamore, I really liked it and wish it wasn't gone. They had a really good pizza and we would sit out the furthest outdoor table and people watch as we munched. Always was a fun way to wrap up a great day at the parks.

This is such a bummer to read. :-/ The one time we ate there, shortly after they opened, the AC was broken and it was miserably hot. I would have given them another try, but it sounds like maybe things haven't gotten better, LOL! Thanks for the info, disappointing as it may be.

The air conditioning must be a continuing issue. It was not working appropriately when we ate there the end of May either. We not only received poor quality food, we were hot while we ate what little we could eat. I can laugh about it now ,but it was one of those dinners were nothing went right.

You're kidding! UGH! You'd think they'd get the AC figured out... It's central Florida, after all.... Eep.

We had a meal there in March. While it wasn't spectacular, it also wasn't a bad meal. We had good service and the food was hot and about what we expected.

We went there a few weeks ago and we thought the food was pretty good.

Another just so so meal when I went, but serving sizes were fine. The food just wasn't anything special and for the price it should have been a lot better. There is a much better Mexican restaurant near my parents house in FL that we will be going to next time. We won't be going back to Antojitos. I also didn't care for Vivo although my sister loved her meal there. I guess it depends on what you order at Vivo.
