I mostly bought school lunch. I remember paper bag ones for field trips, and I do think either my brother or I had one like this at some point:

My first lunch box was a vinyl covered cardboard lunch box with Rocky and Bullwinkle on it.

My second box was metal, and had GI Joe on it.

All of mine were the plastic ones with a sticker on the front that came with a thermos. The ones that I remember are Rainbow Brite, NKOTB, and Barbie. Around 5th grade, I started to take my lunch in a brown bag!

Geez I can't remember if I ever had a lunch box! I remember buying my lunch and then taking brown bags when I was older. But seems I remember the thermos though. Dang it sucks getting old, I texted my little sister to see if she remembers, she usually does. If I did have one I guess it didn't make much of an impression on me.ha

My first lunchbox was a metal Flintstones lunchbox. And the thermos had a glass liner.

Wow, surprisingly I don't even remember what lunch boxes I had...probably Care Bears or My Little Pony. A Google image search makes me fairly positive that I had a Jem lunch box at some point. The only one I am absolutely certain of, was my very last box before I moved on to paper bags and buying school lunch:

I had a lot of the ones mentioned, plus I had a fantastic four one, I wanted to be "the rock man" I loved when he said "its clobbering time"

The only lunch box I had wasn’t the metal kind with a character or tv show. It was soft-sided vinyl with a strap and zipper opening (shaped more like a handbag), with early 1970’s “flower power” style flowers.
LOL, very mod and groovy.

Yeah I dropped and broke my thermos once; there were shards of glass in my chocolate milk.

I think I had the plaid.. and various other lunchboxes, then brown paper bags. Ravioli in a thermos and soggy jelly sandwiches (yuk).
