Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I know I shouldn't have waited until the last minute, but I did. Anyway, I spent a few hours last night doing videos and now I can't get them uploaded. They will get anywhere from 40-90% uploaded and I get an IO_ERROR. They say it's on my end. I did transfer to a new ISP, so I guess that could be it. I got one uploaded and I thought another was going to go, but it got up to 90% and stopped! I've spent last night and all morning and have one video to show for it. So frustrated.

If I could scream right now, I would. I just had the upload get to 99%, yes 99%, 2 times and I get that stupid error! I've been trying to upload all day and so far have only been successful in uploading 3. I know I shouldn't have waited until today, but I shouldn't be having these problems either. I called my new ISP and they said it was nothing on their end. And I do believe them. How can it get to 99% and then all the sudden my computer freaks out? DH says just to forget about it but I feel like I have already invested so much effort into these videos I want to get them uploaded. It makes me sick

Boy that does stink! I wish I knew something that may help you but I am amazed I get mine to even work.

I haven't looked into ExpoTV since they made all the payment changes and I was wondering if someone could explain a few things to me, since my fiance wants to start making videos tomorrow.

If he reviews something that already has a lot of reviews, does he get the $5 payment, or none at all?

Do they reject videos easily, so they can skip out on paying the contributors?

What are common reasons they reject a video, other than poor lighting, poor sound, or not enough content?

Did you get them to work? My sister in law started to up load some yesterday and was getting all kinds of errors. I saw over at expo that a lot of people were getting errors. But not the kind that you were experiencing.

Seems they go back and forth with rejections. One month I had every single one rejected for reasons beyond my understanding. Tons of them said not available nationally but were in their database and so I could not provide a link. It was odd. Another month I also had all rejected. I took about 3 months off went back, 1 rejected for sound (I moved the camera to show the step2 tag and it did blur the noise) and after that all has been smooth sailing since.

I think they get to points where they can't pay and just go wonky.

No idea about the payment, I have gotten $10 for everything as of late. As long as you make it and it is approved you'll get paid something for it.



I uploaded 3 late last night they went through fine.

I got 5 to upload, but it took an all day effort. I don't know what was going on. As long as they say that they will close instead of reduce payment to categories, I'll start trying to upload them now so hopefully I can get the 20 in this month. However, I don't want to upload a lot only to be told that they are reducing the payments in those categories.

As far as the errors, they said it was on my end. Who knows.

What does "This video is pending its final screening" mean? I had a video that was skipped during the first round of reviewing and now it says this.

I was VERY lucky. Our church had two Thursdays this month that they had "day camp" for little ones. So my kids were gone for 2.5 hours in the morning. I did most all of them between those two days. Otherwise I would have NOTHING. My kids haven't been taking naps this month and definietely have not been quiet enough.

I also saw that as well. I have completed and had 19 approved for August so far, just have to re-do one and I am done, probably the earliest and easiest month I have had since starting well over a year ago.

I am sitting in WDW waiting on my extra spending money from expotv. I wish they would come on . I am stuck in this tropical storm Fay now but I would like to hit a store once this lets up.

I was also wondering when we were getting paid for July. Seems later than usual. I haven't been able to get any uploaded for August yet. Waiting for my youngest to start pre-school so I have that 2.5 hours a day to myself again. He starts next Monday so I'll have a week to get 20 done. Might be pushing it! However, I leave for Disney soon so that is an incentive to bring in some extra money!!!!
