Okay, I'm trying to figure out the payment system and I'm not seeing any clear listing on their site. I don't want to waste my 20 video allotment on $2 items unless I run out of higher $ items. I understand when they get a flood of videos in a category, they reduce the amount paid to everyone, but you don't find out until after the fact.
1. Is there a decent way to figure out items that would pay higher/lower? Like do you do a search for reviews of the item you are thinking of and if it has 5 or less reviews, you do that? Should I assume that an item that has 15+ reviews would pay very little?
Currently Expo pays "up to $10" based on quality of the review and how many reviews there is that month of that type. Here is the current pay info:
Beginning on the 1st of the current month at 12:00am EST and ending on the last day of the current month at 11:59pm EST(the "Program Period"). During the Program Period, ExpoTV will pay each member for up to 20 qualifying videos. The amount of Upfront Payment ("Upfront Payment") will be up to $10 depending on the quality of the product review, as determined by ExpoTV Staff in its sole discretion. ExpoTV judges the "quality" of the video based on the following provided in the video: (a) Your honest, personal opinion and experience with the product; (b) Provide basic information about product features and benefits; (c) A demonstration of how you use the product; and (d) Product name and model number. Minimum requirements to qualify for minimum payment are set forth in the Make Videos page. Determination of video quality is within the sole discretion of ExpoTV and all decisions are final. Payment amounts are subject to change at any time.
2. You said craft items went to $2 and now they're at $10? How did you know? Does this change frequently for all items?
Each month Expo announces the payment terms on their "Terms and Conditions" page.
3. We have a couple $20 items, could both my husband and I review these on separate accounts and receive two $20 for each? Or is there a limit per household?
No. You may have 2 accounts in one household, but you may not review the same items (even if you have differing opinions.)
4. Do you review newer things that can be purchasely currently? What about other electronics, toys, and cars that are not the current model number or year?
What you review has to be currently available to be bought on the internet.
5. Any way to determine new (or old) promotions that will pay higher? Like I just got a new phone, but if they're gonna maybe pay higher on a promo, I'd like to save it (or if they already did it, I'd go ahead and review it anyway).
You don't know what they will do the next month. I reviewed a digital camera last month, and this month it's on special at $20. So I missed out.
