Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

Mellie - you beat me to it! Buckeyefan did a great job on the All Star Movie resort. I would love to know how she did the video. I'm not sure how to show the photos other than holding them.:confused3

Just a heads up guys-

last week several of my videos were green or white and would not play- this week "most/some" of them were rejected for not being available- I had no trouble doing a search and finding these for sale ( doesn't the internet count as available? ) but whatever- anyway

- I tested my theory on the rest of my pending videos - these are the ones without pictures from the site- so I'm guessing that 12 of my videos are going to be rejected- that gives me time to get some done to cover these- so if you have green or white- some of them may not get approved- make extra to submit to cover them while you have the time to get these into the site-
HTH and I hope I'm wrong but wanted to share-:teacher:

Ok I have a question for Buckeyefan....your travel destinations are absolutely awesome. Ive been watching them now for a few days. How do you do that with the pictures. I want to do some reviews but other than holding the pictures up or sitting in front of the computer I dont have a clue how. I do have some video footage that im going to sit next to the tv and show on some but how do you do that? They are great!

Anyone if you havent had a chance to check them out its under Buckeyefan.....

Aww, thank you very much. I did these in Windows Movie Maker. Let me see if I can trace my steps for you- I am at work, so I don't have my Movie Maker in front of me, so I will check tonight sometime, and if there is a wrong step, I will correct it- here goes....

1.) Video the intro on my camera, and upload the video into Movie Maker- drag to the storyboard.

2.) Go to File-Import into Collections. Import all my photos that I want to use for that review.

3.) Drag the photos into the storyboard somewhat in order. You can switch to the timeline view (button located at the top of the storyboard), and click the pictures and drag them to make them visible for shorter/longer time periods.

4.) Switch back to storyboard view, and go to Tools-Video Transitions. I usually use the same transitions throughout the same review, but you have lots to choose from. Click on the transition you want (this is the shapes/designs when one picture is fading and the next is coming in)- drag the transition to the squares on the storyboard between the photos. Do this for all pictures.

5.) I usually add credits to the end of my review, and to do this, go to Tools-Titles/End Credits. I typically use the end credits for mine- click on that, and type in the text you want. You can change the background color, text color, font, and the way the font moves here too.

6.) To narrate, I switch to timeline view. I usually make the end credits really long (like 30 seconds or so) to give myself extra time to run over talking, because you can always shorten it up later.

7.) To do the narration, go to Tools-Narrate Timeline. Click the spot in your movie where you want to start, and hit the "start narration" button. Obviously, you need a microphone for this part; I use a headset with a microphone on it so I can hear myself talk.

8.) When done, hit "stop narration", and it will prompt you to save your audio file. Once you do that, you can watch your movie with sound. I do final adjustments to photo lengths and/or credits, and then save it.

There are a lot of steps, but it isn't too difficult. I already had my photos on my computer anyway, so it was easy to import them, and start.

I hope that helps- let me know if there is anything more I can answer. :goodvibes

It helps alot. Ive actually been playing with movie maker today and sort of figured it out but not really, so yeah it helped. I hope you dont mind if we borrow your idea to do our reviews? I have to see if I can get a hold of a computer microphone though because my stupid computers dont have one in them already and I dont own one anymore.

For those of us still waiting for payment here is the response I just got:

Hello Melissa,

We are sending out payments everyday this week. Please keep watchng your account; you should expect to be credited within the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for your patience and support of ExpoTV!

Best,
Christina

That sucks eggs.

Just got an email saying my vid is live! This was my last video from 7/31. Not sure what the hold up was!

Hopefully now my payment will be in my paypal account soon! The bad thing is we are going out of town on Saturday. Oh well, it will be in the account hopefully when we get back.

I just had another video uploaded! It's my review live from Universal Studios CityWalk. Check it out! I still have 4 more pending and plan on making some more tonight. I hope they all get uploaded soon too!

All of mine are pending! I hope to upload some more this weekend.

How can I review a trip? Just show pictures while videoing on my digital camera?

Handbag Lady,

Are you able to upload your videos from your iMac to ExpoTV? I do mine on the Mac also, but then I end up e-mailing them to my PC because I can't get them to upload on the Mac.

Exactly what I do!!! I can't load from the iMac, although I've tried every single time. When I attempt to upload, it lets me pick the file, but then it reverts back to the "browse" section. I don't get an error or anything other than it just doesn't work.

I still have videos from July 31st pending! They rejected a few today as expected, but they sure are taking their sweet time about it! :sad1:

Golly, what a pain!!! It does seems that they are picky and choosy about when the approve things. I submitted 8 more this morning, so we'll see how it pans out. I started an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my items and I listed the date created, date sent, and I have spaces for date approved so that I can see if there is any patterns.

What is everyone reviewing in the $10 catagory? I pulled out some of our camping gear, and some bike accessories we have. I also reviewed a couple of winter toys...that I catagorized under Sports and Outdoors.

I am very curious as to what the Sep promotion will be.

If I get all my 100 this month it will pay for our Disney Tickets whenever we go.:cool1:

I do tropical fish stuff. I have a 10 gallon tank and a 3 gallon hospital tank. I have mollies now and we used to have bettas so I have all sorts of odd things like various fish food packets, birthing tank inserts, nets, pumps, etc. We also had dwarf hamsters (RIP) so I have a lot of their gear available to review as well. And I'm quite opinionated, too!

I don't know what I'll do after I run out of pet items. I have a lot of kitchen appliances, but I'm not doing them at $2 a pop.

I DO hope that September's promotion changes from August's.

I do pet items. I have cats- lots of em- LOL- and I foster kittens, and I have dogs- so I do dog toys and cat toys and cat items and dog items (I meant to do my automatic water-er, but my husband said I've stripped the gears by not cleaning the funk out of all the parts- so I guess that's a no go- eeeewwww!).

I've also done fish food and fishie stuff- it's fun to do a $2 fish item and get paid $10!

OOOO, it says I'm a headliner now but I don't see me on the home page? Isn't that what headliner means? That they put a review you've had approved on the page?
