can anyone tell me where on the website it give the specifics for what is in the 'Baby & Kids" and "Travel Destinations"? TIA.

I have never been able to figure out specifics on categories and that has been my one complaint. It doesnt really matter where you put something because they ultimately will put it in the category where they feel it should be and their word is final.

Im not even bothering to shoot and try to upload tonight. Even if we could get them done I cant imagine how many will be uploading tonight and if it will even go through at all. Im just so bummed that they didnt give any notice on this and wont honor their original promotion. I did email them and DH posted on their message forums about it. I really hope they get a lot of emails complaining that it wasnt enough notice and maybe they will extend it.

Hello All

Just got an email for Expo TV stating that they are dropping arts and crafts, kidz toys and housewares done to the $2.00 range tonight at 11:59pm. So if you want to get in on the $10.00 promotion for this areas I would get to uploading. They said it is due to the massive response in these areas. Just wanted to give the heads up. Its a Real Bummer.

This is a real bummer. Luckily, I have time today and I'm cranking out the videos. I have some uploading to get done but I only need to actually review 6 more items. This is very unfair. Changing the rules 10 days into the game. Shame on expotv.

This is so disappointing! I have quite a few toys to upload and tons of craft stuff to video but I was just waiting for some to get approved so I would know I'm doing it right. I could have been uploading all day, but now it's crunch time! They haven't even updated us on the ones we've done, so how can we know if we should continue? Why does everytime I start something, the bottom seems to fall out?

Do you think this is an indication that the whole site will go down and close up? Has the influx of Dis-ers created a death spiral for Expo TV? Is their well almost dry?

Ive already sent an email. DH has posted on their forum about this too under current promotions and has recieved several responses as well. I know they really look at those forums too so im hoping that he gets people going enough to get them give us an extension.

Expo TV:

Shame on you for changing your August promo only 10 days into the month. This is no way to treat your contributors who are the backbone of you company. Not only are we video contributors, but also video watchers, site referrers, and advertisement for your organization. I can only assume by the curve you threw us this month that this kind of inconsistency will be present in future promotions. Frankly, I don’t know whether I or my 15 subscribers, 23 friends, and 5 referrals will be willing to risk our valuable time with Expo TV in the future. Here is what some of them are saying:

“This is so disappointing!”

“Why does every time I start something, the bottom seems to fall out?”

Like they didn't think a $10 incentive would get people to go for those categories?? of course everyone is filling up these sections, why would we want $2 when we could get $10? thats really a huge ignorance on their part.... I would have thought they would have been intelligent enough to realize that $10 items are going to be whats reviewed. So to take back their promotion because they got what they wanted... more items in their "popular" categories is insane. I'm peeved. This was paying off a HUGE chunk of our disney trip. Thanks expo...

Keep trying. I've been uploading like mad this afternoon. I just got my 100th one uploaded, so there's room for one more now. Seriously though, for some reason, I wasn't having any issues. I have a system of reviewing, saving, then uploading and while one is uploading I'm repeating the process w/another review. I got 25 done without any problems, so keep trying.

oh im just ripped about the way this whole thing was handled. I mean for the past week i have been working and running to doctor appts with kids and dh and have not even had time to do my laundry this week let alone videos. we had planned to work on them all day saturday and sunday and get the bulk of them done but most of our things were in those categories..dh did all of his sporting goods stuff last month. I honestly dont think we could pull together 50 things in the 10 dollar category now and I really dont think 2 dollars is worth the hassle to me. If they dont extend the deadline I may just skip expo this month completely and try to put in some overtime at work if i can get any. I was really hoping this would pan out good this month to help us get caught up on bills so we could get to paying off some debt.

Sorry to be a pain...but does anybody know if I can record my husband instead of me being in the videos? I would like to get some done but I am sick and losing my voice so I was hoping to film my husband...but I don't want to waste my time if I won't get credit?! Thanks!

I didn't even get an email, now just seeing it at 9 tonight! Thank goodness I happen to be on #98 and have 99 and 100 shot already. DH didn't do 1, said he was waiting until I got paid.

I do think all us dis'ers probably overloaded them, so many new people at one time. I also think that I can't see how this sight can really last that much longer, I mean how can they pay out the way they are. I am yet to see a payment and told DH today that one month it will all just be gone. We will have all wasted our time and get no payout. Don't think it will happen yet, but it will.

I don't think stern emails will help any but that is just my opinion! Good luck, get going tonight! I am not sure how my last few will go!

does he have his own account on expo? to be on the safe side, I would just made an account for him quick and do the videos... that way you know you will get credit since hes registered and the one in the video.

This sure is frustrating. Luckily I did 18 vidoes last night and am uploading them now fast and furious before the cutoff, hope I can get em' in, only 2 so far in 15 minutes, it's running very slow, sure hope I can get them in. Then I need to search the house for exercise equipment/videos, pet care products, etc. It'll be much harder than originally thought to get the money this month!!!
