Another UY question

We are planning on buying 150 pts at SSR in the next few months. It will be either in Dec when we are at WDW or in Feb when DH's car is paid off. (I'm trying to talk DH into doing it in Dec, so that we can hopefully still get the $10 off per point.

Anyway, I was thinking that we should ask for a Nov UY. We usually will be using the majority of our points in early Dec (as we go for DD's b-day in the first week of Dec). Sometimes, like this year, the weekends fall into Nov for a couple of days. I figure that if we have a Nov UY we will be covered even on those years when we will need to stay a couple of days in Nov. Is my thinking correct on this?

I hope that the experts will please advise me on anything that might work out better. TIA

There isn't a November UY - Only October or December. Sounds like October would work.

Even August or September use years would work well for fall vacations.

With an August use year, you have until the end of the following January to bank up to 100% of your points. As long as you cancel your early December or late November vacation at least 31 days prior to arrival, you'll be able to bank the points if you need to do so.

There is no January, May, July or November Use Year. DVC has never offered any explanation for the way it is set up.
