Another upgrade question please!

I would like to upgrade my five day park hopper to an annual pass. Is it possible to do this before I check into my room? ( we arrive at 10 a.m. in WDW) I already reserved the room at the AP rate because I had already planned on getting an AP - however I have an extra park hopper that won't be used this trip and thought I'd save money by upgrading that instead of buying an AP outright.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

Yes, you can do this. They can do it at any ticket window at any of the four theme parks. Unfortunately, you can not do this at the resort. So, once you park at the resort, before you check in, you will need to bus, monorail, or boat over to a theme park and upgrade your PH and get your APs.

Thanks for the info - I see you are doing the CBR/Yacht thing in 9 days. We are doing the same thing in August! I also see you've done the two hotels in one trip before....Any words of advice about switching hotels?
