Hmmm... I just ate the last (of a quartet of) almond-poppyseed muffins. And I'm not full. :rotfl:

DH just got home, so I need to go help put away groceries. See ya later! :)

This week when my mom and sister were coming, I called my mom to ask her to bring her pumpkin bread recipe. Last year I made it, but it wasn't her recipe and came out kinda dry and a lighter color, I think. (Hers is really dark brown, really dense and moist.)

Anyway, so my mom said she couldn't find it at the last minute, so my sister found one she had and wrote it down for me. I asked, "Oh. OK... So have you tried this one out?"

"No."

"Oh, so is it from a friend? Is it really good?"

"I don't remember where I got it from. I haven't ever tried it before."

"Oh. Ummm, well thanks."

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: nice.

This is the one I used.. YUM. It was fantastic. :thumbsup2

Hi Ladies. Awesome about all the stuff Megan!:thumbsup2 Guess now I'm never going to get rid of that car seat in my garage.:lmao: Oh well, at some point I'm sure someone will need it. I don't know about up there, but down here the Goodwill and other thrift centers will not take car seats because they don't know if they've been in a wreck or not and don't want to take legal responsibility if they sell a defective one.

I think I need to hire a Fleet Manager. Got the inside of the Excurision and Mercedes cleaned out, washed the outside of the Mercedes. But I'm too flippin' tired to wash the outside of the Excursion. I'm thinking I'll just run it thru a carwash in a day or two. Besides one of the tires looks low, so I think I'll have DH check the air in it tomorrow. Between 5 cars, a trailer and a garage full of motorcycles I think I could keep someone employed full time.:rotfl:

Howdy ladies!

Alex, your neighbors always sound strange and creepy! Hope the chicken turns out yummy!

Megan, that is so cool about all the goodies from the triplet father. I agree with Alex.........donate the stroller to someone. I just printed off your pumpkin bread recipe. I have several, but it is always fun for me to compare.

I have a really good recipe for you guys to try, if you like bananas. This is the second time I'v made it, and have gotten rave reviews for it. It's like a banana crisp. I know that sounds weird, but believe me it's really good. A good take along "wowser" dessert or brunch dish.

Ginger Baked Bananas and Cinnamon Cream

Oven 375*

4 firm ripe bananas, peeled
1/4 cup butter, melted and divided
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup pecans, chopped
1 Tablespoon finely chopped crystallized ginger

1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup whipping cream

1. Place bananas in glass baking dish, large enough to hold single layer.
2. Combine 2 Tablespoons butter and lemon juice in small bowl. Drizzle evenly over bananas.
3. Combine brown sugar, oats pecans, ginger and remaining 2 Tablespoons of butter. Sprinkle over the bananas.
4. Bake 15- 18 minutes until bananas are hot and topping is bubbly.
5.Serve warm with Cinnamon Cream

Cinnamon cream
1. Beat cream, cinnamon and sugar with chilled bowl and beaters, until stiff peaks form.

NOTE: I tripled this when I made it for a crowd. A 9 x 13 dish holds 12-13 bananas just fine for this amount.

Hi Melody, that sounds yummy. I'm always looking for good recipes for bananas. I hate to waste them, but my family really doesn't like ripe bananas. I always throw them in the freezer and hope for a good recipe. I tried some banana split cookies not long ago. They were pretty good, but more cake like, good with ice cream, but not that good by themselves.

We still need 2 infant car seats!! The ones we have are for bigger babies. Which is great... Because I was stressing over having to buy those to. :lmao:

My kids are watching ET. I think he just downed some beer. :lmao: :lmao: Yup. I would say ET is drunk!

I'll make it up there before the babies are born and get that car seat to you. It's not an expensive one, but it's brand new. It's the Cosco Scenera, black with brown plaid insert. Says it fits sizes 5lbs to 40 lbs.:thumbsup2

Put it on Craigslist, set it outside on the curb and I'm sure it will disappear.

DH and the kids just pulled up, so I need to see how DS did at the races. TTYL.

Sam the recipe calls for firm ripe bananas. Don't use the gooey ones.

Hi Melody! I had to stop and think there for a minute. Thought you were saying that to me sorta like "Got Milk". :lmao:
Sorry about that. No wonder you mind went in that direction.

I can't remember Got Disney's real name now. Did she give it to us? Hmm?

We're a borderline green banana family. We actually don't care for them once they get ripe. So that would work for us.:lmao:

Robin. Feel free to ask me anytime, I won't forget because it's my SIL's name also.:thumbsup2 Now if Robin's name had been anything other than the same as my SIL I would probably forget it.

I ate way too much. Didn't really need that second helping, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

ooohh!!! Alex got to feel the baby kick today!! The girl. He was so excited! :cool1:
