YIKES! On both counts!

I know that uncontrolled GD makes for very fat babies, and high BP makes for underweight babies. I had GD and it was uncontrolled in the last week or so (because of a steroid I had to take for Bell's Palsy); Ds was a little butterball! :lmao:

And one of my best friends had high BP through her whole pregnancy and she delivered at 31 weeks. MAN, that was a tiny baby! I don't remember what her weight was, but she was itty bitty. Today she's rather tall. :)

Yup.. I know that a lot of the women who had their babies early had them because of high BP. They have the twin boards split up into 2 month segments.. based on when you are due. I am in the March/April group.. The first one from the January/Feb. group had her baby last week.. Scary, huh? I think she was 31 weeks. They told her the babies would most likely be in the Nicu for 7 or 8 weeks. Almost all of the nov./Dec. ladies have had their babies..

Wow. What's the most common delivery week?

It looks like around 34 weeks seems to be the most common. some make it past to 36.. but just a few have made it past that. That I have seen anyhow.

Wow, 34 - 36 weeks? DS8 was 37.5, so 36 doesn't sound too bad. For some reason 34 sounds so much earlier. :confused3

YIKES, it's nearly midnight! I'd better get to bed. (Why are you still up???) ;)

:rotfl2:

Get to bed then. Tomorrow is gonna be busy with the kids! Good night. :cloud9:

Hey, do you know if you have a temporary sort of disability (like DH's bum knee), can you get a GAC (guest assistance card)? I would think it would help DH if he did less walking/standing than necessary. But I'm not sure how disabled, or how you'd prove it, to get something like that. :confused3

DBF get a GAC when we go to Disneyland. We just go to City Hall when we get there and ask for one. DBF usually doesn't need the wheelchair until later in the day (if at all) but if he had to stand up in line or use stairs then he wouldn't be able to walk after just a few hours.

Good afternoon, hyenas!
It is sunny today, I can't quite believe it!

I went to Trader Joe's this morning. I haven't been there in quite awhile, so stocked up on some favorites, and picked up a few things I've never tried based on recommendations from fellow DISers. :thumbsup2

The little beastie is home from preschool. Sounds like he had a good, incident-free day. ;)

I put him down for nap a bit ago, with minimal protest. I fully expected him to be up and sneaking around by now, but so far, so good. :rotfl:

Moto, thanks for the info on the GAC. I don't know that I can talk DH into using a wheelchair or scooter, but I sure am trying! I think he'll be in a lot of pain also after just a few hours, so I'm pushing it a little more than I would normally. I really don't want him to be miserable the whole time, that would be no fun! Worst case, I figure at the very least we'll bring crutches or maybe a cane (not that we have one)...

Hello Hyenas,

Hope you all had a good weekend. :) Yesterday my bf and I watched the new 007 movie. It was okay but I never saw the first film. :rotfl: It was okay though since it was an entirely different story. I was happy to see an Aston Martin in the movie until it got wrecked! Why do all the awesome hot cars get smashed? :sad2:

I saw the trailer for the new fast and the furious movie coming out next year. It looks really really lame. I will probably end up watching it anway. :rotfl: The best one by far is Tokyo Drift. That movie is awesome.

It's hot this week again...in the 90's and windy. Blech! Curse this fickle weather! :(

You never saw the first James Bond film? Or the first one with Daniel Craig as Bond? I'm guessing you mean the latter. I haven't seen it, either, but I have seen quite a few Bond movies over the years, from Sean Connery to George Lazenby to Roger Moore to Pierce Brosnan. ;)

I just ordered a pair of Crocs Capri flipflops. My old flipflops broke and none of my others are comfortable enough to wear for all-day walking, so I hope I like these! I'm counting on them arriving in time for our Disney trip. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping the weather will be warm (70s - 80s) while we're there. That would be UNBELIEVABLE! I am so ready for some sun and warmth! :cool1:

OK, we're getting a little sun today, but a little cool for shorts and flipflops. :rotfl:

I know they have changed the rules in the last few years, but basically you walk into city hall and ask for one. No need to show any proof, though it doesn't hurt. If you have a wheelchair, cane, crutches, scooter - no need to ask for a GAC. It's an automatic "alternative entrance" in DL.

If not using a scooter/ wheelchair... Generally the pass is worth it for DL (go thru back entrances on most attractions) , not so much at DCA as the entrances are already handicap accessible.

It took some convincing, but hubby used a scooter on one of our last visits due to hip pain. He was more agreeable and no growly grouchiness. Worth every penney to rent one there. Now he is willing to rent again when the time comes for another trip (highly unlikely to occur anytime in the next year .. argh! ).

Make sure to bring a towel or something to cover the seat- it gets hot!
Poor Alison was frying her legs last spring. :scared:

I haven't seen the older James Bond films with Pierce Brosnan and I haven't seen the first remake version with Daniel Craig. I think Judy Dench is awesome. She did scare me a bit with her role in Pride & Prejudice. :scared: :teeth:

You will LOVE those things. I have a pair and they are getting sooooooo worn out. I wish I could afford to order/buy (we have a Croc cart at the mall) myself another pair before our trip. But alas, I need tennis shoes for the trip before I need new flip flops. :P

Hi, Seanaci! And welcome to the hyena (DL chat) thread! :)

I got these on sale online through a company called Campmor; the total (incl. shipping) is only $32! I figured that wasn't too shabby considering the regular price (not incl. shipping) is $40. :thumbsup2

Though this is the most I've ever spent for a pair of flipflops in my life. They'd better feel fabulous! :rotfl:
