staley, do you mean the thread with the photos? i'm in there now, but i haven't seen anything strange yet... except the first tree photo i didn't realize it had a gold-tone bow on top. i was thinking, "why the heck did she put an octopus on top of her tree???"

My older sis and brother and one of my cousins and I went to Costco. My sister threw this huge stuffed animal at my cousin and it almost knocked her over. We were laughing and I took a pic:

Yeah. That one! THere are just a few that make me say.... hmmmm.. But then if you saw our tree... But its our first one.

I got one from Cost Plus World Market. The chocolates taste yummy! I haven't opened it yet. I'm afraid I'll eat it all before christmas!

They sell the same ones at Safeway..

I wonder how peppermint on an apple would taste?? I am a HUGE peppermint fan. HUGE. But with apple? Odd. Bring me one back, K Alex??

my sister gave each of the boys an advent calendar last year. she gave it a few days into december, so we opened up to the current date, which was probably 4 or 5 chocolates. the idea was to do it daily from there on out, but ds4 wound up busting into his and eating all the chocolate in one go. ohhhh myyyyy.

so only ds8 had his left, and i kept forgetting for a few days; then he'd happily open the doors and eat up to the current date.

There might be some parts of the apple missing....you know, because it has to clear "customs" <----(Alex or her DS's taking a bite ) J/k!

I KNOW it. Back when Frelan and I were first living together, Alex was just barely a year old. I was working VERY part time at BEst Buy, and Alex would stay with hubby, and they would hang out for a few hours while I worked.. Mostly going to the toy store and such. They picked me up from work one day, and I looked in the back seat... All I could see was alligator. No kid.. nothing but alligator. Frelan had bought him this GIANT stuffed alligator, and Alex was holding it on his lap. SO FUNNY.

He did that all the time. He would come pick me up from work, and Alex would have some gigantic toy on his lap, and all you could see were the curl on the top of his head.

I grew up with them, but I would always sneak into them and eat all the chocolate up.. and then close the doors so it would look like I had been doing it right. Who am I kidding?? My kids are going to be lucky if theirs make it until Christmas.

No.. But my kids still play with that alligator. It is so haggard looking now, and the stuffing is smushed all to heck... but they love it.

hey, i was wondering that. would they let me bring snacks like that back? we've brought back coffee and other items that are totally sealed up, but i wasn't sure we could bring baked goods or something like the specialty apples...

Yeah... just stick it in your suitcase. I dont see why anyone would care. We have done it bunches of times..

I'm not sure. I heard the airport security is even more strict than before. You might have to cut it into tiny pieces and make sure it fits within a small ziploc bag.
