i know, i'm terribly forgetful! dh and i always make a grocery list and he goes shopping on sundays. if i think of things to get during the week but can't get to them, i'll start the list with those items, then add to the list with the sunday grocery ad.

so saturday ds8 cleaned up all the mess he and his brother made in the family room, including piles of video games and dvds we store in our tv cabinet.

this morning i found the tv cabinet open and everything pulled out of it again!

i asked ds8 about it, and he said (naturally) that ds4 did it. so tonight i told ds4 to clean it up. ds8 wanted to play the xbox at the time, so he volunteered to help ds4 clean it up. it was done quickly, why on earth didn't i think of this before? :lmao:

I dont do grocery lists really.. I do the staples, like if we are out of the stuff I use every day, but I like to check out the deals at the store.. There is always much more then in the add. Plus Safeway has the clearance meat section, and let me tell ya. THAT is a money saver!

all right, i need to get to bed. lots to do tomorrow, apparently. ;)

good night! :cloud9:

Heck yeah!! With both my kids.. If you want to watch TV, play games.. anything.. Chores FIRST. Pick up your room.. the rubbish.. the mess you made on the floor.. Whatever. and guess what?? I dont care who made it. You BOTH clean it. Im so mean. :lmao:

ds4 usually just flits about, might pick up a few things, which leaves ds8 doing most of it. sometimes he whines about it, but usually does it anyway. my reasoning is that, even if he wasn't doing it, he wasn't exactly discouraging it, either. in fact, truth be told was probably giggling right alongside his brother, laughing as he watched.

but tonight i was going to have ds4 do it all. i was all prepared to deal with the whining and be firm; but ds8 realized that his brother was going to be in the way and making a big stink, so he very sweetly offered to help, and ds4 was very gracious in accepting. it was totally cute, and i was totally blown away by it. :rotfl2:

Busy, busy here at work. Busy, busy at home. I swear everybody is using the computer now and I barely get anytime on it. It really sucks having dial up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have two computers, but only 1 person at a time can be online.

DD is doing her college homework. Next quarter she has one online class. DS found some freecycle gaming website that he plays all the time. And believe it or not DH fessed up the other day...he has his own online motorcycle chat buddies that he found while laid off. Now I have the Hyenas and he has the Thumpers!:rotfl2:

He started work yesterday and has 19 weeks of training! Uggh!!!

I like your bow. Very festive, but it also reminds me that I have to start shopping. I haven't done any yet. :headache:

Oy. Im glad my kids are to young for the computer yet.

How FUNNY about your hubby. That cracks me up.

Hi Sarah! How's life treating you? I just have a few minutes to spare before 5pm, so figured I would say hi!

I figure that once DH starts working weird schedules this spring I'll have plenty of late night chatting once the kids go to bed. This week his schedule is (M-Th) 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 2pm-11pm. There are 11 guys in his training class. I figure they are throwing some oddball hours in so they can weed out the ones that really don't want to work crappy hours. Plus his schedule has a few 6 day work weeks on it also. So far we don't know about Christmas.:confused3 But he's just glad to be back to work, so no complaints!

Im half done... Thankfully all my stress about what to get my husband cleared right up when his XBOX broke. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I'm about 2/3rds of the way done. I'm going to try and finish the rest of it this weekend.

Nobody ever touched the computer but me. Now it seems like the last couple of weeks I practically have to fight them off! But I doubt DH will have time to chat now. He was up until 9pm working on his homework last night. :lmao: DD was hogging the computer doing research for an English paper she was working on. I'm thinking we might just have to spend the $400 for equipment and $100 a month and get Hughes Net. :scared:

See every cloud has a silver lining.:) :) :) Well ladies, gotta head home. I'll try and post tonight...that is if I can beat the rest of the family off the computer with a broom!
