Another ticket question...with a twist!

We leave for the world in 37 days. Staying at BWV on rented points for 6 nights. I already know that we want the 7 day MYW tickets with the hopper option, but not the plus features. Now...here's the question with a twist:

Do I go ahead and purchase them online now (a $40 savings over list price), or should I wait and purchase at check-in due to the fact that the CMs will sometimes offer the DVC discounted tickets even if you are renting points? I've had this happen to us a couple of years ago. The DVC discount would be more than the $40 advance purchase discount thru Disney, and we would have the benefit of having the tickets on our room keys...

Any thoughts? I figure the worst case is if we wait and end up spending $40 more than we would have, but still get the tickets on our keys...right?

The only DVC discount on park tickets is on Annual Passes and you do have to show your DVC Member's Card to get the discount. This took effect I believe in January when Disney started selling the Magic Your Way tickets. Sorry this won't work out for you. Have you checked out TicketMania through the MouseSavers Newsletter? Their discounts are usually pretty good.

Also bear in mind that ANY ticket can be coded to your room key now. They used to not do this, but with the Magic Your Way changes instituted at the beginning of this year, they will code your admission to your room key.

Cool....thanks guys!.....I did not know there was no longer a DVC discount on the tickets....We'll just buy them ahead of time and ask to have them coded to our room keys!
