Another SW question

I am having so many problems with SW. First was fighting them to apply rewards for the flight last year, which I eventually gave up on getting. But now, my problem is they charged my credit card a wrong amount. I booked a one way flight yesterday and bought the EBCI for 7 tickets. Last night the charges showed up on my credit card and there were 11 charges of $10 instead of 7. We called them and were told we needed to call another number and they are only in Monday thru Friday. Of course because of the prior incident I'm afraid they are not going to take care of this mistake. Has anyone ever had this happen and SW corrected their mistake. Thanks for any advice.

Not clear what the issue with the prior situation was or what bearing it has on the current situation. If you purchased seven tickets with EBCI and were charged for 11 EBCIs, then you should get credited for the extra ones. I can't see why that would be a problem.
 
I was just trying to state that I have had prior problems with SW and have not had any luck trying to get them resolved. That is why I'm worried about trying to get this issue resolved. The current issue is I bought 7 EBCI and was charged 11. Hope that clears it up. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and if SW easily fixed it for them.

SWA is excellent at resolving issues such as yours. Just call the number you were given and they will take care of it. Not sure how they charged you for 11 if you purchased 7, but, sometimes computer errors happen. Usually it is user error.
 

Southwest should correct the error. If not you can dispute the charge with your credit card company.
 
I have had great customer service from SWA.

Most recently I purchased EBCI for a flight that was canceled, they got us on an earlier flight but of course we had B boarding passes for that flight. SWA refunded my EBCI for the canceled flight before I even got home and had a chance to request it.

Call the number and explain the situation and I am sure they will credit you the difference on Monday.
 
I've NEVER had a problem with SW. Granted I only use them 2 or 3 times a year, and have only been doing trips for 5 or 6 years now. I dont see how it would be or WHY it would be, but I wonder if somehow there were just some 'authorizations' and they will fall off in a day or two? Have never had that happen though. And I just dont see how it could happen (but it obviously has) since you have to have a confirmation number to match up with the EBCI.

Did you do this online or thru the phone?

I did this transaction online. My husband is getting ready to call this morning, since the account is in name. I really don't understand what happened, but I double checked the credit card this morning there is 11 charges of $10. After he calls, I will update. Thanks for the information.
 
Well, still not sure what happened. Called SW and they are only showing the 7 charges to the credit card. Called the credit card company and there are still a couple charges in the pending and the correct amount in the posted category. She said the pending should just disappear, within 24-48 hours, if not to call back and they will contact SW. So just waiting to see what happens.
 
I have had this happen with hotel charges and gas when checking my cc'd online. Sometimes I can't tell what is a hold or pending vs what is actually charged on mine.
