I am just curious as to if it matters what Guests are there that specific weekend? Are the characters that are in costume the same each weekend or does it change? The guests that are there--what actually do they do besides sign and take picutres? Just trying to decide what weekend and if it really matters which one if all my son wants to do id just see the Star Wars Characters.
Thanks

They have a parade with the characters. They also have a Jedi training session. My son got to do it last year. They train with a "Jedi" master and then go on to do battle with Darth Vader. My son thought it was great. I recommend that if your son wants to do it. Wear something really bright. You will need to get the attention of the Jedi when he picks the Padawan. They get prizes for participating.

My family and I have attended Starwars Weekends every year since 2000. We usually attend two weekends in a row each year. The characters out in the parks and the daily activities are just about identical each and every weekend. The primary difference between weekends is the actors, authors, etc. that attend. If you love Star Wars and Disney, there is just not a way to top Star Wars Weekends! Have fun and

May the Force (and Mouse) be with you!

For the most part, the actors who are appearing just sign autographs. However, once each weekend, ONE of the actors appearing that weekend will usually do a moderated Q&A session in one of the studio theatres. Last year when we were there, the one who did the Q&A was Silas Carson; it was rather interesting to hear the discussion of how he worked out the Viceroy's strange accent. DS doesn't do autographs, but he wanted to hear that Q&A session; he is fascinated by the process they go through to make the films.

The costumed characters who appear are pretty much the same crew the whole time. There may be smaller or larger groups of Stormtroopers about, though; many of them are members of a local costume group (not WDW cm's) and there tend to be more of them around early in the morning; I don't think they get paid to be there, and that armor is HOT. Try to be at the studios at opening one of your days; the troopers stand on top of the gate and make a lot of cracks about people waiting to get in; it's pretty funny.
