Trying to book four tickets at the lowest fare. When I try to book 3 I get a fare of $124. When I try to book 4 the lowest fare is much higher. Odd question but is there any chance if I book 2 at $124 that there will be two more available at $124 in a separate transaction?

There are probably only 3 tickets left at the lower price I'd book 3 people at that price then 1 at the higher price

Yep, there are only a certain number of seats available at each price level.

Sometimes he web web site will show how manytickets are avaiable at a specific price. Once those seats are gone, the airlines rasies the fares. Supply and demand....

Yes it is possible. I did it for our upcoming flight. 4 tix together were outrageously high, but when I did 2 and 2 the price was significantly lower. We have to check in with two separate confirmation numbers but that's not a big deal.

Good luck!
