Another Shooting??? Just heard on MSNBC..

I guess the response was so quick because of the state police barricks were so close. Also, they said that there was supposed to be a graduating class at the police academy today so there are a lot of police officials in the area already.
As someone stated on the boards before, I can't believe that there is not some sort of tape or traffic camera that caught this guy. They said they are supposed to be releasing some visual aid this afternoon but haven't said exactly what that is yet. Hopefully this will be a tape or sketch or both!
I think since the tarot card incident the police have really been tight lipped about what they know. I can't blame them! I think/hope they are a lot closer to catching this guy than what we believe!

They just announced on CNN that the victim died. I'm praying for these victim's families!

They've been pulling over a lot of white vans, from what they're showing on the news channels.

Times like this I'm glad I didn't take the transfer to DC 3 years ago, and that my job doesn't involve me driving all over the state anymore.

I know they have I-95 north covered, but have they said anything about checking vans coming south on I-95?

OMG this is so horrible. Thanks for the updates. I'm passing the news on to my co-workers. When they asked me where I'm getting the info, I said "from my Disney people." And the sad part is that they knew exactly what I meant by that! One of my friends here said "thank goodness for the Disney people."

From what I remember from living over there, the main roads really are only I-95 and Route 1. If he's heading back to Maryland he'd be taking I-95.

Who ever these people are (and I do believe there are two of them) know the roads around here very well.

He's either from the area or has taken the time to study it.

I think the reason they aren't able to catch him is because he's doing the exact opposite of what the police think he'll do.

I think he exited the crime scene from afar, taking back roads, going completely unnoticed.

I heard that they released the van they'd had pulled over while waiting for back-up. Apparently the person acted suspiciously due to being so terrified.

They had been checking 95 South, but stopped for some reason and are concentrating on 95 North.

Lauren just called from Quantico--everyone is filling up on base. I think it would be a good idea for those traveling down 95 to go to Disney to PM someone who lives off the areas they might want to stop for gas and ask about gas stations that are way off the highway or in their opinion might be a little bit better to stop at. Not that anywhere would be safe, but it's better than somewhere right off the highway.

This shooting took place one exit south of last Friday's.

I know he's probably not coming this far South...but I'm still scared because it's in Virginia. Can you guys reassure me that it's nuts to be scared when I'm 2 hours away?

I can reassure you. My parents are much, much closer than you are to this. I am not worried at all about them right now.
