My son and his fiance were just engaged this week, and we are quite thrilled. She is a wonderful young woman.
I called them the day after the engagement was officially and told them that I would provide them with a DVC villa and tickets for their honeymoon if they want to go there. I told them about VB and HHI if they didn't want to go to WDW. I also said that they didn't have to do that if they didn't want to, but just wanted to make them aware it was available to them if they wanted it.
It made me feel good to have something like DVC to offer for them for their honeymoon. They went with us in June for a really nice stay at BWV in a 2 BDR. It was the first trip for her and my son's first since we joined DVC, they were both very impressed with the villa.
No date set yet, most likely August. I photograph weddings, so I get to see the other side of the equation this time! I'm not sure if they are going to want me to photograph the wedding or not, I certainly will if they want me too. I've got a friend or two I can call on to shoot things that I'll need to be a part of like family photos, ceremony and reception. Her father is a minister and will be doing the ceremony, so the families will obviously play many parts of the wedding!
Sorry to go on and on, I'm a bit excited.
