Hi everyone, wonder if you could confirm something for me.
I have 210 points at Vero with an April use year, and this June it is my intention to try to book two weeks in May 2002 in a two bedroomed unit there.
This I think works out to 516 points, 210 points from 2001, 210 points from 2002, and I would have to borrow 96 points from my 2003 allocation.
If I need to change this later to a one bedroom, am I right in thinking I could still bank points from 2002, but would have to use the points I borrowed in from 2003.

You are correct as long as you cancel within the six month banking window.

You could only bank the 2002 points, not the borrowed 2003 points OR the banked 2001 points. Since June is your expected visit and your use year is April, you should be ok on your banking window to bank the 2002 points to 2003.

April 2001 - 210 (bank into 2002)
April 2002 - 210 points
April 2003 - 96 points (borrowed into 2002)

The points from 2001 and 2003 (306 points) will have to be used by March 31, 2003.

The 210 April 2002 points could be banked into 2003 if necessary. Prior to September 2002 you could bank all of them or any portion you desire. From Sept. thru December you could bank 50% or 105 points. During January you could bank 25% or 52 points (maybe 53 not sure how they round).

Remember when banking it isn't cumulative. If prior to September you bank 110 points and in December you think about banking more it's too late, you are done banking. 110 is more than 50% (105) of your total ownership of points.
