We will be in AK next Friday and DD wants to see Pandora in the dark. Luckily sunset is 5:35pm, unluckily we have tickets to MVMCP that night. So the question is do they turn on the lights right at sunset time? Or is there a photocell that turns them on when it is "dark enough"? I am hoping due to the trees around AK, it will be "dark" before the actual sunset time, so we can see it, then head to the party :D thx

It'll likely be AFTER sunset before you really see the effect of the lighting, not before. Too bad you don't have another day at the parks...

I don't know the exact time the lights will turn, but I think it will be more like 6pm until it's dark out and you can see the full effect. Sunset may be at 5:35pm, but it's not completely dark until after that.

Thanks! Hmm, we might need to find a small slice of time to go back to Pandora after dark on sat.
