Funny story(at least now).
Back towards the end of summer/early fall, I come home from work to find a message on my answering machine from Kathy Conforti from DVC and that she would like me to call her back. It was about 5:00pm and all I got was her voice mail. Her voice message did not give any clue as to what department she was calling from. My guide, by the way was Michael Johnson with my purchase in 2008. Concerned about what it was about, I called every 15 minutes for an hour and a half to no avail. For the rest of the evening my mind was running wild with all sorts of scenarios of why this could be a bad call. I started calling again regularly the next morning from work and all I got was her voice mail. Again my mind was wandering as I heard rumors that Disney can change the terms of your financing or even cancel your contract based on nothing but your credit score even though mine should be fine and I never missed a payment. WHAT COULD IT BE!
Finally, about 2:00pm I actually got to talk to her. I asked if this was bad news. She said, well not really. OK..., As it turned out, Michael Johnson was promoted up into a management position within DVC and that she was calling to introduce herself as my new guide. Wow, what a load off my mind!(that it was not really bad news).
Michael, based in WDW, was a good guide in the limited amout of interaction we had and did all of the things pp had mentioned. Kathy is based at Shaumburg mall in Illinois and we had a nice 15 min chat but have not had the need yet to call on her. An add on may be in the future however.
