Another non WDW Dole Whip sighting.

I was at Kennywood Park near Pittsburgh and spotted a sign for Dole Soft Serve (current name for Dole Whip). It replaced the TCBY yogurt that they used to sell there.

I didn't get a chance to get any or even ask what flavors. When I go back I'l update my report.

Maybe some schools visit Kennywood during May but our school district has a day later in June when school is out for the summer.

It looked like they only had cones no dishes and of course no floats.

Just to add the reason I didn't get one is I expected to go back later.

Well the park closed at 5:00PM but we all got rain checks good for another day.

I never went to Kennywood for school picnics since we lived 10 minutes away from West View Park, but I just don't remember it being a school day (60s and 70s).

I hope I'm not prying but did you happen to go to a Catholic School? They had soooooo many days off.

Public school, but I think the local Catholic school joined us as it was a whole community day.

If you have a chance, enjoy a Dole Whip for me!! I always like getting french fries at the Potato Patch near the Thunderbolt. Yum!

Thanks for sharing that info! Can't wait to go to Kennywood and get one! OUr school picnic is always the day after Memorial Day and we got the day off. Now I believe it's still the same day but the kids are done with school before Memorial Day.

Now, I can't wait to get to Kennywood this year. We just returned from WDW and while I did have a Dole Whip, I was hoping to get another before we left and didn't. Do you know if Idlewild will have Dole Whips too?

We have Dole whip at a tiny little ice cream place in the town we live in. It is a rural out of the way town south of Grand Rapids, MI. They only offer one flavor at a time, and it changes every so often.
