Hi, sailing on the Wish next summer-for now taking Covid out of the equation, what is the steps I need to do before the cruise as far as checking in-30 days prior is check in? Then how do I go about the time for arriving at the port, and the time to board the ship, are these 2 different times, or is the arriving at the port then tied into our boarding time? Just trying to get some step by step of how things get done after the final payment. Thank you!!

When you do your online check in, you'll either selected a port arrival time (if non-Disney transport) or be assigned a port arrival time (if Disney transport) and a you will get a boarding group number.

When you check in online, you will confirm or enter information about the guests in your room (whether they are using a passport or birth certificate for identification, how they are paying, who can check kids in/out of the kids club, etc.). You will also upload a photo of each guest. At the end of the check-in process, you will select a Port Arrive Time.

Pre-COVID, you did not get a Boarding Group Number until you checked in at the port. This number was roughly, but not exactly, linking to your port arrival time and time of check-in.

You select a PAT (port arrival time). The boarding number is then assigned based on PAT. You don’t actually get a boarding time in advance.

In actuality, the only time you get is the Port Arrival Time. Boarding Time is what the clock reads when you have gone through whatever check-in / testing… procedures are in place on your cruise day and get on the ship. ☺️

Read the instructions and follow them pre-cruise. Take photos of your vax card (if still needed). Do a selfie following the stated size requirements. Have them where you can easily access them (I put them in an Album in my iPhotos - easy to down/upload).

Know that the Safe Passage site can show your results as Pending for quite some time; that’s not unusual.

On boarding day, have all your papers together and in your hand. I use a big ziplock bag to keep them together.

Cruising here you come.

Thanks everyone! Everyone has been so helpful on this boards! Disney world I know inside out, cruising is a whole new ballgame!
