Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Ok guys....I'm having a Kitty Pity Party. I really don't get into pity parties but since BEFORE Sept 15 (1st gum surgery and who knows how much longer since Monday's gum surgery) I haven't eaten the following and would KILL to eat the following:

Doritoes
Chips
Pretzels
Nachoes (tortilla chips)
roast beef
any pork chops
any type of steak
anything chewy/ gum
any nuts

pretty much anything crunchy or chewy :(

Right now my goal for any of these lovely food items is mid January. Maybe!!!!!:sad::sad:

Thank you for letting me vent........Love you all. And the weather here in Michigan has been pretty good. :sunny:

Well, if you needed to do any kind of dieting, this would be ideal.

:goodvibes Stay strong, Kitty. upload_2016-11-11_17-52-4.jpeg

Well I am certainly glad this less than stellar week is over.

Sitting outside now making a camp fire and going to grill random frozen meats that were lying around in fridge.

Trying to relax after a tough Thursday at work culminating in me getting quite angry at a practice that led to some health issues today.

So glad for living next door to my parents to keep me calm cool and collected.

Jut wondering what "random meats" are?!?!?

I am relaxing, he is at hockey and bottle of wine is open!!

We had a package of hot dog weenies, a link of Eckrich sausage, 2 of those small pinwheel steaks stuffed with feta and spinach and 2 packages (8 sausages total) of some chicken queso poblano sausages. Stuff we bought "because it looked good" or had leftover from over buying for other meals.

So sorry to hear this Kitty. Hope you're at least feeling ok (i.e. no pain.) If I had such diet restrictions I'd have to move in next door to a Dairy Queen.:teeth:

thankfully you can still drink rum so there's a little light amongst the dark

Yes, drinks with both light AND dark rum are awesome. Mai Tai tempt you with a Mai Tai?:smooth:

A big sigh of relief here, and a bit of celebration.
Much of our move depended on my dh getting into a specialist practice with folks who can care for him. I've worked on this for months, and bit by bit I've made progress. The huge news today, they emailed him with an appointment in the specialist practice. He's in. I can't begin to say how relieved I am.
Happy day!!!:flower: Now, back to sorting through things and packing.

Thank you! :goodvibes It's been a team effort around here. I've managed the health care future part, and he's been working toward retirement. It has all come together, and we feel blessed. Three months from this week the movers should be here.

Gwynne, I am so happy for you. It's got to be a big relief for you that things are going to be taken care of. :goodvibes

And Jevs.....I'll have a couple more of those. Gotta love a soft food diet, right! :rotfl:
Thank you, Kitty. :goodvibes It is a big relief.
I hope your recovery from oral surgery is going well. Fingers crossed you'll soon be enjoying something other than soft food. I mean, in addition to something wonderful @jevs dreamed up to imbibe in. :-)

Sounds delicious!! Thought for a miute you were a resident of Terminus:rotfl::rotfl:( ok Walking Dead reference)

Especially with a Mai Tai. I used to love them haven't had one in years. Hmm those & scorpion bowls were always favorites.

Dunno how this slipped to pg.3 when the first 2 pgs are full of boring stuff ;)

I told the gruesome twosome about the vacation this morning, I feel sorry for their teachers :D The teenager has known since beginning of term as he's needed to get all work finished.

Packing is dire. I don't know what possessed me to book places with 2 completely different climates :sad2:

Other than packing we're pretty much organised AND as a bonus I found a stash of USD that i thought I lost after the last trip. I love finding money in my house!

I had the stomach bug yesterday so wasn't on the DIS much at all yesterday. Not to be too gross but puking up soft food diet stuff isn't much fun!

Jo, you must be getting sooooo excited about your upcoming trip even with the climate changes!! And..........

:bday:. Hope you had a great day!! Ya know....Willy would have given you the ultimate breakfast!

Oh man, it sucks when you're recovering from one thing and a different thing gets stacked on top of it. I know you hate to miss a day on the Dis as so many others are creeping up on your 148,119 post count.:earboy2: Hope you're feeling better in time to start enjoying the weekend with some rum.:)

So Jo, any great stories from your birthday? Cake? Ice Cream? Rum? :teeth:
