We are planning to do a lunch reception after the ceremony.

We are also planning to do an Epcot Illuminations Dessert Party the night before the wedding.

We are inviting 50 guests in total. We are hoping that most will stay the weekend and thn come to our Monday ceremony.

How do I do response cards for both?

Many people probably are not going to even know what a DP is. Do I attach a paper explaining it?

Can I see samples of how you did yours?

Thanks!

I don't have a pic, but I will tell you what we're doing.

We are also having a lunch and dessert party, btw.

My invitations have a "reception card" and it says Please join us at x o'clock for a lunch and cocktail reception at The California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort

followed by a dessert party at x o'clock at Epcot's Terrace du Fleurs.

I am not doing separate response cards. I can't imagine people going all that way and skipping fireworks and free dessert! It's the thing most of my family is looking forward to, lol!

Thanks for your response!! Good point, but my DP is going to be the night before the ceremony-on a Sunday night & our reception is Monday morning. I'm not sure if they are all planning to arrive on the weekend or arrive in the morning and stay at WDW for a trip that week, KWIM?

The reception & DP are on two separate days so I'm not sure how to work this, invitation-wise.

We had a Welcome Dinner at IllumiNations the night before. We included an extra invitation with that info, but both events were captured on one response card. If you don't think your guests will understand "DP" put "Welcome Party with desserts and fireworks" or something to that effect.

Here's what ours looked like...

Thanks so much!!! your wording is very helpful to me!!:flower3:

I think if the events are on two nights, you should have 2 RSVPS (or one card with both events). I agree though, if it's on the same night then I wouldn't ask about the DP. Our RSVP card doesn't indicate 2 events, I am just assuming they are coming to both.

We had a reception after our ceremony and then a DP later that same evening. We used Cards and Pockets invitations so we had a separate card about each event but we put both events on one RSVP card. We actually had 5 people that came to the ceremony and reception but were not able to attend the DP.

Even your events are on different nights, I would do one RSVP card and list the DP first (and I would include the day and date) and then list the reception and list the day and date.

I just love Heidi's wording for her DP.

Thanks! I didn't come up with the wording...that was Shelley's doing! But I really loved the way they turned out.

Glad it helped.

Our events were on separate nights so we had 2 response cards as well.
