I have no idea how the free dining works. I have read all the other threads and i still dont get it :confused3 can someone take pity on me and explain how this would work for 2 adults wishing to stay at a value resort for 4 nights with one day spent at Universal (dont tell mickey) ;) we would like the park hopper option if possible also. is all of this possible? and if so approximatley how much $ are we talking? thanks for the help!

Call CRO (407-wdisney) and tell them that you want to book a package with the three letter free dining code (either the visa code, or the general public code).

Tell them which resort you want (AS sports, music, or movies or Pop).

Tell them the dates you want to go, and for how many nights.

Tell them the names of the travelers in your party.

Then you choose the type of tix you want. (If you want to spend 4 night/5 days and are going to US for 1 day, then you probably want 4 day passes). Let the agent know if you want the base tix, or the no expiration tix, waterparks, or hopping, or a combination of all.

Make any room requests you have (no smoking, king bed, location at resort)

Decide if you want the trip insurance. They will automatically include it in the cost they quote you, so tell them if you don't want it.

Put down the $200 deposit, or pay in full.

Write down your confirmation number.

The ressie agent will ask if you have any other questions, and they can also connect you to the dining line at that time if you know what dining reservations you want to make.

Now sit back and wait till your paper confirmation comes in the mail, check over it and contact them if anything is incorrect.

Make your balance payment by the 45 day mark if you didn't pay in full at the time of booking.

When you arrive at Disney at the start of your vacation, you will check in and be given room key cards that are also your tix, and dining credits, as well as a charging option if you link a credit card to your room.

Everytime you buy a snack, counter service or table service meal, you give them the key cards, and the appropriate number of meals is deducted. The receipt they give you will tell you how many of each credit remains. No money changes hands at the time of food purchase as it has techincally already been paid for by your "free dining package."
