I had weight loss surgery 3 months ago and the portions I can eat are small. Can I go to the Blue Bayou and get an appetizer for the main course? I would have my daughters with me and they would order regular meals. I just depise wasting food and there is no way I could eat a whole portion of an entree.:faint:

Thanks!

Hello, yes you can order an appetizer as your meal. I have done this in the past and they are accomodating.

Thanks - that is SO good to know.

:yay:

I don't see why not. In fact if you have a special card from your Dr. you should be able to order off the kids menu at the sit down restaurants. :)

I do have that card. One thing I've found is the food on most kids menus are so unhealthy! Everything is fried. My kids always wind up with mac and cheese when we go out because it is the healthiest thing on the menu.

I've always been too embarrassed to use that card. Maybe I should try it.

You can always split a meal with one of your kids, they charge a $4 plate split charge, but it is worth it. My parents split a meal and my son and I split a meal also.

Use the card!

Don't let your kids get the Blue Bayou mac/cheese. It's horrible. :scared:

Use the card!!! Don't feel bad because you took steps to take care of yourself!! Maybe if you show them the card they will waive the split plate fee....there's a thought. Honestly, the potatoes, salad and gumbo are the BEST at BB, if they'd let me that's what I'd have for a meal! LOL

Enjoy your vacation!

I'll have to agree that the potatoes are the best at BB. On the kids menu they even have a small prime rib, my son thought he was king for a day:lmao:

Have a great time!

I know that some of the places has a baked chicken and brown rice meal?
