Another Expedition Everest ?

Whats the history of attractions opening before their "set" date? Do you think Ee could open earlier than April? I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

Expedition Everest is opening early to some people. DVC members (and 3 up to 3 of their guests) and AP Holders (looks like AP holder only) will be able to take a ride in January from the 26th thru the 29th. So if you fall into one of those groups and will be in the World at that time, you are in luck.
Otherwise, you might get lucky in the early Spring when they start doing soft openings for the general public.

I wish I could get out there for opening day, but yet again, I have to think about saving money for a whole Orlando trip. I'm so excited for this coaster to open, it's gonna be awesome!

That's the key right there. They set a target, of SPRING 2006. Several month prior to that date, they think it is good to go, then they have the AP / DVC preview and see what happens when the ride is ran at limited capacity to see how it works. They take notes and fix what doesnt work correct.

Then do a series of soft opening to the general public, each time taking notes, fixing what needs to be fixed or adjusted. Each time they increase the ride load untill they can run it at capacity without issues.

Only then will the imageniers give marketting the go ahead to advertise the "offiall" opening.

Does anyone know about how long it usually is before they start the "soft" opening? We will be there at the end of February.
