Another Dyson Question

So I am going to be buying a Dyson this week and need help with which one. We have a cat and were thinking the pet version but would I really be paying an extra $150 for an attachement? Is the original just as good? Do they all have the same amount of suction. Help!

They are the same machine, the animal version just has some added attachments.

We have 3 dogs but opted against the animal - just couldn't see us needing $150 worth of attachments. Had the Dyson 2 years and have yet to need whatever those attachments are so I guess we made the right decision?
