Another Disney Magical Express Question-switching resorts

We will be staying at the Beach Club Villas for 5 nights in November, but have decided to fly in late at night the night before that reservation starts and will spend 1 night at POR. Can we use the DME tags and have our bags sent to BCV (maybe with some kind of note on them that says we're checking in on the 1st, we're spending the 31st at POR). Or should we just have the bags delivered to POR and have them moved over to BCV the next day?

any suggestions??
