Another confirmation buying DVC was the right move...

:goodvibes

Last night DH asked if the kids were getting too old for Disney. I said, well considering the night before they were pouring over the DVC books- probably not.

Beautiful. It's a reminder to us all that these moments we share with our kids can turn out to be so powerful and important in their lives.

I also have a 14 DD and so much goes on everyday in her world that we never had to deal with. It makes me smile she still love Disney and when asked if we should go to Disney or the Beach she picked Disney. Your story gave me chills to. We want them to grow up and be successfull, but I love she is just a kid at Disney on our family vacations.

Thank you so much for sharing this story! It is a great reminder of why we vacation with our kids as often as we do and specifically why many of those vacations are at WDW. I have a DD starting hs next year too. I start to panic when I realize that we really only have 4 more years with her living full time at home. I think there is no way to measure the worth of family vacation memories. Sure, we make memories on random days at home too, but none seem so vivid as those made on vacation - even when I think of my own childhood!

Beautiful post!
Looking forward to making lots of wonderful memories at Disney with our new DVC and DD:) The years go by so fast...and it is true what others have said:the memories you make with your family on vacations are the ones that really stay with you:)!!

My daughter is now 30 and lives far, far away. We sometimes pull down the albums of our Disney trips from when she was a teen when she visits.

Believe me, you are now making memories that will last a lifetime!
