Ok I have solved my first problem about finding gifts for the inlaws...NOW I am looking for gift ideas for DD1 (she will be 2 in April). My problem is that we have DD5 who has almost every toy on the face of the earth, so when I try to think of things for DD1 we pretty much already have it.

She doesn't need clothes at all. We have a TON of books. We have dress up clothes, wooden puzzles, leap pad, and like I said earlier we have toys out the WAZOO!!!!

I just bought DD5 everything she is getting for christmas and only spent about 70.00 with all the codes at toysrus.com and children's place. (THANKS FOR THOSE CODES BY THE WAY)

Now I need help with the baby. I want her to have some cool presents to open up like her sister. She loves to be just like her sister!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!! I am eyeballing the weebly wobbly tree house but that is about it, and possibly a new baby doll (she loves babies).

Let me know what your little one is getting!!!

TIA!!!

What about Dora stuff my DD is a little older than yours she was almost 3 last Christmas but she got the Dora doll House and furniture. She still plays with it. Also the Dora dress up doll. It has some cool outfits and this year they put out a bed for the doll and a armoire to put the clothes in

We get this catalog called Collectors Etc. (or something like that) where everything is $14.99 or less. I have a 1 year old girl too (will be two in June) and we are getting her a baby doll dressed in a Disney Princess sleeper that comes with a sleeping bag and diaper bag (for the doll), then there is a seperate set that comes with a matching stroller and pack and play (also doll sized).

Other that she needs the next size up in clothes for later winter/summer, so she'll be getting a lot of clothes. Not really sure what else, as she'd rather play with mom and dads things than her own toys anyway!

Well we bought the Graco room full of fun for DD5 for Christmas it has the pack n play, stroller, high chair and carrier in it, so she can play with that plus we have a stroller in the playroom already. I am thinking of buying her a new baby doll as I said earlier because the one she sleeps with is getting a bit ragged already and if we were to lose it..OH MY I would hate to think of what life would be like.

I will have to find that catalog and see what kind of deals they may have in there.

As for Dora stuff she isn't really into cartoon characters yet, I guess because she doesn't watch tv at all she has never shown interest in anything really other than her baby doll.

I might can get her one of those shopping carts with the plastic food in it, she likes to push stuff around and we don't have one of those yet!!!

We are kindof in the same boat....DD4 has so much stuff, and our DD1.5 plays with all her toys already. One thing we did last Christmas, when DD1.5 was 8 mos old, was buy her, her own really big stuffed animal...we actually got one from the FAO catalog for $99 but it is SO soft and huge. She loved it then, and still goes and snuggles with it. You probably have tons of stuffed animals too, but you could get her one big special one thats hers.

What about a kitchen? We got DD one of those when she was 2.
Or a cash register? I also think they have a marketplace. I beleive it is made by Litle Tykes.

I found it and ordered the catalog thanks a bunch!! They had a really cute pink princess wooden rocking chair I really like.

Jenn Lynn- (nice name that is my name too) We have a kitchen, washer and dryer, dishwasher, vaccum, broom, mop, and a cash register pretty much we have it all..LOL...I bet you guys are thinking my DD5 is SPOILED..yes yes she is...
:guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

Princess Glenda- we had 2 tubs of Mega blocks already and 2 tubs of wooden blocks and while at WDW the grandparents bought them another HUGE tub of mega blocks at the LEGO store that they DID NOT need!!! LOL

I'm in a similar boat. DD1.5 has all of DS's old toys, still in excellent condition. Likewise, DS has oodles of toys. So, DD is getting a Cabbage Patch Doll, some new books, The Heffalump Movie and both kids are getting Lands End Bean Bag Chairs (with their names embroidered) as their big gifts.

I feel your pain. My oldest is 2.5 and my youngest is 15 months. Both girls. Theya re so close I didn't even have time for the oldest's toys to be used before the youngest started playing with them. :rotfl:

What about the Little People stuff?

I have been looking at that stuff too....

I may end up getting her a few cheaper things and one big thing. dd5 gets so jealous I have to be careful so there is not a crying fit on xmas morning.

I bought dd1 a princess jacket last week because she didn't have a jacket and dd5 has a brand new old navy jacket so she did not need one and when she saw that jacket for dd1 she about hit the roof...We have lots of drama needless to say with 3 women and a female dog in the house...MY POOR DH!!!!!

Won't work for us. DS has the Garage, Farm, Bus, Fire Truck, Rescue Center, and Dump Truck.

DD has the House & 1 add-on for that and Castle and 1 add on for that.

We love the Little People stuff, but the Garage, Farm, House and Castle take up a lot of floor space to keep them out so the kids play with them. Plus, it drives me nuts when I'm cleaning up and can't find all of the pieces. And my SIL has already said she's getting my DD more LP for Christmas. :scared1:

Likewise, this Christmas will see DS maxed out on the Leapster games at his skill level.

Whatever happened to the days when I got by with just 4 Barbies and a Ken doll? (Oh goodness, I don't even want to face the coming years of Barbie inundation!)

DD#1 is a bit over 2. Last X-mas she got a floor piano mat (kinda like in the movie, "Big," with Tom Hanks) Actually, this is what she got...
http://fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=159
She plays with it all the time!!

Fisher price also just came out with the Little People 'A to Z learning zoo.' It seems kinda fun. I was thinking of buying it for X-mas I'm not sure since she already knows her abc's and a ton of animals. She likes the little people stuff, though and DD#2 will always be able to play with it.

Good luck!!

I bought her some things today. I took her to Walmart and let her play with anything and everything, and she fell in love with the WEEBLY WOBBLY TREE HOUSE so I got it, and I got a seeNsay, and a pack of 4 mini potato heads ( I may have to give these to DD5 I couldn't tell by the packing how small the parts are and they may be a choking hazard). I am going to get her the lots of love baby, he is really cute!! and I think I am going to get her the princess rocking chair from the Collector's Etc. catalog.

That will do it for bigger things and I will pick her up a few little items here and there, or may just wait until Black Friday and see if anything just catches my eye!!

Thanks for all the ideas..
