Another annual pass question

If you get a voucher for an annual pass and then are unable to go on the trip, is the vouvher good until you activate it or will the voucher expire, is it dated? I would like to book a room with an AP rate but my chances that my trip may have tp be postponed is still a possibility and I would not want to waste annual pass time. Thanks ahead of time!

The voucher is good forever. The start date is 1 year from "the exchange" date of getting the actual pass

Okay, I love this board!! My savior!!! We are definately getting AP for next Jan. and I will go to Disney 4 times in a year. When you purchase the AP, do you activate it when you get to the park? I'm trying to figure out the best time to buy it. We only go during the value seasons. Do they good discounts during this time? Jan, Feb, Sept, and 1st week of Dec? Trying to plan ahead. How far in advance do they post the dates?
