Well we're back from a fantastic 3 week trip, and although I'm a bit jetlagged thought I'd make a start on my reviews.
Overall we had a really enjoyable disney dining experience, there wasn't one meal that could be described as dreadful (although there were certain dishes where it would be generous to describe them as dreadful, thankfully these were few and far between!)
We struggled a bit with the deluxe plan this time round, it seemed a lot of food and we particularly struggled using up snack credits as we simply weren't hungry between meals. With 1 night to go on the plan, we still had over 20 snack credits to use, but we managed!
Anyway on with the reviews.
We started the holiday in vroom, this was a nice alternative the the clubhouse and I particularly enjoyed the complimentary cocktails.
The flight was very good, as was the food. We both had squash and sweet potato soup to start which was good, the rosemary bread it was served with was fantastic.
I had fish pie for an entree, which was just ok. The fish was tasty, mash a bit dry and it didn't look particularly appetising on the plate.
DH had mushroom stroganoff which he said was good.
I had chocolate torte for dessert which was delicious but very rich, as good as it was I couldn't finish it.
DH had a cheese plate (the first of many

) served with Port which he enjoyed.
We were served afternoon tea as well, sandwiches and a scone with clotted cream and jam (yum!).
We arrived at Saratoga Springs around 7pm and were given a room in the Paddock (I had requested Grandstand but this location was fine for us, close to the bus stop and walkway to DTD).
I was really tired and full from all the food on the flight so we decided just to split a meal at Artist Palette. Although it is a very small CS place, it wasn't particularly busy when we were there and we had no trouble finding a table.
We chose a vegetable flatbread which was actually very nice. The crust was very thin, made with wholemeal flour topped with roasted veg (peppers, courgettes, aubergine) which were really tasty, tomato sauce and mozerrella.
We chose a cup cake for dessert, which was nice, the sponge was very soft but there was quite a lot of frosting which was very sweet, definitely much bigger than cupcakes we get in the UK.
After unpacking we had an early night ready for our first day in the Magic Kingdom. Coming up next, Liberty Tree Tavern.
