We are heading to WDW next month. We purchased AP's and we were able to link our Will call numbers to MDE to pick Fastpasses.

I have seen here on the boards that AP holders are receiving Emails (isn't there a magazine too)?. Just wondering .....am I not receiving anything because my AP will not technically be activated til we use it for the first time next month?

Thx!!:thumbsup2

AP holders for WDW receive the quarterly newsletter in the US Mail. I just got a new one yesterday actually highlighting the Epcot Garden festival this year. It's boring and generally just rehashes everything thats already bee said on DISBoards. Last year we got an AP car magnet with it (you'll see cars everywhere in FL with the oval sticker), which was a nice surprise, but using it's nothing special (it's called The Mickey Monitor I think).

Emails are random. Sometimes we'll go months without any AP communication. Usually it's just an update about something coming soon or a contest or something.

Really, the best information for AP holders is the website. You'll get access to it as soon as you add your AP card # to the MDE website.

I've been an AP holder for many years now and I can honestly say that the only really great perk is the discounts and being able to go every day. Other than that, there aren't a lot of "exclusives" that really matter for AP holders. MAYBE they'll have an AP preview event for the Mine Cart ride opening soon. It could be a D23 event too... who knows.

By the way, I feel like Disneyland in California gets WAY more perks as either an AP holder or a D23 member. Lots of exclusive events and stuff in DL.

Let's say I want a Mickey Monitor and any emails they do sent to AP holders. The AP page says to make sure I checked the box to receive information, deals, etc. I can't find that box to check. I registered for MDE many months ago while "testing" MBs so account existed long before we linked APs to it in January. I'm checked all things listed under MyProfile and other than an email address, there is nothing to indicate what I want them to do or not do with my email address. Forgive my hormonal derangement induced fit :headache:, but where the heck is the blasted communications preferences box so I can get said communications?
