I'm sure this is already posted somewhere, but the search isn't working.

My twins are 9 and will be 10 in early October. If we go to WDW in late September and are still there on their 10th birthday, their child's passes will still be good right? Or will we have to pay to upgrade them to adult passes. What if we take another trip later in the year--still good?

TIA,

Sue

I think I have read that you wont have to upgrade their passes, if they change ages while the pass is still in effect. Once this pass expires then you may have to buy them the adult AP's (if you want to that is!)

The annual passes will be good for them for the whole year as long as it is activated before they turn 10. You will not need to get them adult passes until you renew the AP.

I don't think it's any big deal for them to continue using the child's passes, even though they are now Disney "adults". If you like, you can take the passes to guest relations and they will convert them to adult passes for no charge. Once the tickets become adult passes, they will have to deal with the finger things at the turnstiles, though.
