The cost go up every year. Renewals save you $50-$90.

Currently the renewal saves you about $100. New AP is $675; renewal is $574. (or, Premium is currently $803, renewal is $680) Source: http://allears.net/pl/apass.htm)


BUT be sure that you do the math to figure out whether renewing is a savings for YOU or not. Most people have several months in between their visits, so renewing may not be the wisest choice financially or when considering the expiration of the renewed vs. new AP.


For example, the current AP is $675...or about $56 a month, the renewal is about $48 per month. If your AP expires February 1, but your next trip is not until May or later, saving $100 on the renewal will NOT be a savings (you will have "paid" $48 per month for Feb, March and April but not used your AP, thus negating the renewal savings)....so not only is it not a savings financially, but because your renewed AP will expire in February 2016, it may be better to let it expire and renew it when you visit again, saving that $48 per month that it sits unused, plus your 2016 renewal will be later in the year as well.


Of course, if your AP expires in February but you'll be visiting again in March then the $100 renewal savings is a good deal. Visiting again in April is kinda of a wash financially, so personally, I'd go for letting it expire and renewing in April so the new expiration is in April instead of February.

Since everyone visits differently, obviously everyone is going to have to do the math themselves based on their expiration and return dates.
