I know we can buy annual passes at WDW, but does that mean we can get the dvc discount there too? :confused3

Also, if we already have 6 day base passes that have been unused can we just pay an upgrade on them to the dvc annual pass? :confused3

thanks!:beach:

Just bring your blue member card and take it to Guest Services at any park or DTD.

We do this on arrival day at the Epcot International Gateway which is only 5 minute walk from BCV

If you've gotten the 6 day tickets at a discount, use the first day on them and then upgrade. This way you get the face value rather than the price you paid for them! :cool1:
You can upgrade on the way out rather than the way in.

There is usually a guest services location inside the parks where upgrades can be done.

So do we. I ordered the vouchers only once. When they came they were all wrong. Somehow we got the vouchers for the Florida residents' passes (even the CM joked-since when did Texas become part of Florida) and had to send then back. Since then, I just go to IG guest services.

we need to buy a couple of passes this august, (too big a group for dfil's gate pass), how much for adult and child ap's now?

DVC AP prices:
Adults (age 10+) $369 plus tax
Children (age 3-9) $326 plus tax

DVC AP Renewals:
Adults (age 10+) $324 plus tax
Children (age 3-9) $286 plus tax

DVC Premium AP prices:
Adults (age 10+) $474 plus tax
Children (age 3-9) $418 plus tax

DVC Premium AP Renewals:
Adults (age 10+) $434 plus tax
Children (age 3-9) $383 plus tax

You may want to consider purchasing exchange vouchers before August. The last several AP price increases have been in early August.

We bought discounted tickets from Undercover Tourist and upgraded them to Annual Passes with the DVC discount at City Hall in MK. (7day park hoppers with water park fun and more option, upgraded to standard annual passes with DVC discount.)

I thought we'd get full value for the tickets since we used them for admission into MK, but when she scanned them she could see that they were bought at a discount and only gave us the discounted value. I told her I thought we got current value for the ticket, but she absolutely refused and kept saying, "But you bought them at a discount." Not only that, but she tried to overcharge us by over $200 because we hadn't used the park hopper feature yet, so she said we didn't get credit for that. I had to argue with her and explain that even though I hadn't park hopped with them, I had paid the $50 per ticket to park hop. It took over 30 minutes for her to figure it out, void out the transaction and start over. She initially tried to charge me $377, and I told her I had figured it would be about $165. After she redid it, the total was $166.07. I was pretty satisfied with that, so we paid and got the heck out of there.

BTW, it's crowded here! Maybe due to the buy 4 get 3 promotion? We've never experienced crowds like this in January!

Has this happend to anyone else? That was going to be our possible plan. Has anyone else been refused the full value if they bought it at a discount?

Ugh, that must have been frustrating. I have tickets from UT that I bought but I think I will stick with them for our trip in Nov. because I don't think we will be going more than once a year - darn!

We got full value last year (03/08) when we upgraded discounted tix to DVC annual passes. Both tix were PH's but I had pluses and DH did not. The tickets even came from different discounters.
We upgraded the first day at guest services after entering the park. Very quick and simple - full value (I knew exactly how much it was going to cost before I went in).
Either they have new rules or ................my feeling - an uninformed / inexperienced CM.

I thought you could only upgrade unused tickets, no?
