Hi, I have a 4 day trip booked and paid for for my son and I in August to DLRP. We are staying in the Sante Fe and tickets are all included. I am debating whether an Annual Pass would be a good idea to buy whilst we are over there. Is this worth doing having already booked, or should I leave it until my next trip over and just book accomodation etc? Also, should I just one AP in my name, or one for each of us?
Also, is the train from CDG to DLRP a good option, compared to the VEA shuttle, and is it easy to get tickets, easy to locate the train etc in the airport.
Would appreciate any help and tips on going, plus any Annual Pass help and recommendations from anyone.

Thanks in advance.

Since you already have tickets included in the package I would say that it is only worth getting an annual pass for this trip if you are going to be spending enough in the shops & restaurants for the discount to outweigh the cost of the pass. I don't know what you would get refunded on your package tickets if you bought an AP. They only refund a maximum of the cost of a 1 day pass but not sure if you even get this on hotel package passes.

The Annual Pass office do not refund on tickets which are part of a package -they have the wording "forfait" stamped on the back which means they have no exchange value.

Only other benefit is you would get a free pass for your son if he is under 7

Hi SammyPo and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

I agree about getting the free child AP. If you get Dream AP's you benefit from Extra Magic Hour the same as Disney hotel guests :)

We were in a similar position in Easter 07. We had booked a package for 3 of us (2 adults and one child) at Santa Fe then started thinking about getting APs. We did a lot of sums and in the end worked out we would have to spend a lot to get enough discounts to cover the cost of getting the tickets twice.
So we decided to wait til our next trip to buy the APs and stay off site at Holiday Inn to be bale to get room only.
Im glad we did it this way as the passes seem to have lasted longer - if we'd bought them at Easter they'd have run out by now whereas we still have another trip to come before they run out next month.

If you think you may stay off site you both need dream APs to be able to get EMH, if your son is under 7 you can get a free pass as alraedy mentioned otherwise you could get a dream one for yourself- better discounts but the cheaper one for your son (The cheapest one cant be used on 2nd and 3rd days after first use and there are blackout days for both francilien and Fantasy so be careful they are not times you may wish to go)
