I read somewhere that if I purchase theme park yearly pass's I could use them more then once in a 12 month time frame. My thought was if I was to buy them in say August {08} for an upcoming trip and then still be able to use them again for June of next year {09} I could get 2 uses out of them. We are in Jersey so getting there more then that would not be something that would or could happen, unless we win the lottery that is.
So is that how the yearly pass works. Its one year from the time of purchase?
We have a six flags here and their annual pass are issued according to year. So if I buy them now they are only good until the end of this {2008} year.
Thanks for the help.

When you buy the annual pass, it is good for the next 12 months from date of purchase. :)

We have them.

Yes, that's how it work. You get 365 days of unlimited access to the 4 theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios). If you also want to do the water parks, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest, and Wide World of Sports, you can look at the Premium Annual Pass instead.

Just one correction to your post... if you buy the pass online, you'll get a voucher. You exchange the voucher at the park for your actual pass. Your expiration date will be based on this exchange date, not the date of your purchase.

ok wait. so lets say I go to the Disney store and just buy them in August before our trip. They give me a Voucher and then when I get to Disney I give them the Vocher and the Trips are good from that day until 354 days from that day?:surfweb:
Sorry I'm a little slow this moring.:rotfl:

Correct. When you get to WDW, you exchange the voucher for your actual Annual Pass. Thje AP's 365 days begin on the day you exchange the voucher for the actual pass.

You could keep the voucher for 2 years if you wanted, before exchanging it for the AP; the vouchers have no expiration date on them.

If you buy an AP or exchange the voucher on 8-1-08, it will be good until 8-1-09.

I usually go twice a year, I plan my trips so that I go a week earlier the year before and get another use.
For example:
Buy new AP 4th week of April 2007
Go in October 2007
Go again the 3rd week of April 2008, use same AP before it expires.
Buy a new one in October 2008.

It's 365 not 354.

We do the same thing Bought passses for August 5 2007. We then planned our July trip this year.

It's 365 not 354.

Actually it's 1 calendar year. This year is leap year and you get an extra day, they don't count the days. I bought an AP on 10-14-07, it's good until 10-14-08. Since you can use it on the day you buy it and the day it expires, it's actually 367 this year.

The OP wouldn't be activating until after leap day so I didn't count that. But you are right you do get the extra day since it starts on one day and is good through that same day the following year.

I think I know the answer to this but I'll double check with the experts here!

We are going to WDW from 12/21/08 - 1/2/09. If I upgrade our 10 day park hoppers to APs on our last day, the APs first day is retroactive to the first day that the 10 day park hopper was used - is that correct?

So if I enter a park on 12/21 but upgrade on 1/2/09, the AP will still expire on 12/21/09 right?

I'd LOVE to be able to squeeze two Christmas trips out of an AP but I can't see how that would be possible. I'm not sure it will be worth it at all to upgrade our passes so I'm going to wait til we're there to decide what the likelihood is that we'll be able to get in another trip in 2009.

Thanks for all your help!

Correct.

Don't put it off too much later than that, though. You have to do the upgrade within 14 days of first use.
