Did anyone else notice that they have now completely removed the "for a limited time" annual pass AD off of the DVCMember home page. I hope this is not a sign that we are going to lose the discount with the raise in price? they make the decision to purchase so difficult. the annual pass is a major investment with a family of four and if the prices are rising this weekend I really need to buy today but I would hate to buy today and then have them either give a larger discount or give us an offer. I am going to do it today becasue I am also afraid they will take it away all together.

I'm in the exact same boat. Even worse I'm out of town today and my Disney gift card stash is at home. Will I still be able to buy them from Disney ticketing tomorrow? I have multiple gift cards so I know dvc call center wouldn't be able to help me anyway.

Open a Disney Vacation Account. Put all the GC you need into the account. Get the account number, call MS and tell them you're paying with 1 GC.

I purchased my special priced PAPs with this method last year.

Can I open the account, add the cards and then turn right around and use it? Is there a waiting period?

I am in the same boat also. I was really hoping for a PAP deal but now I want to buy my APs before the increase. Unfortunately I didn't realize our Disney Visa Rewards card had expired so I ordered a new one and it's not here yet. So I'd like to buy our APs with gift cards (adding the rest of them into our Disney Vacation Account now) and our credit card. I just want to confirm that I can still use two forms of payment for APs...DVA and Visa card?

I would call today and ask them becasue I have a feeling tomorrow will be a long MS wait with the price increase

Thanks. I am planning to buy them today. Just waiting for the mail to arrive to see if our rewards card arrives.

Yes. And if you spend over $1000, keep the account open 120 days then request a $20 bonus.

It's still listed under Membership Magic > Perks. Who knows, maybe the discount will increase. It was during a price change 2 or 3 years ago that the discount went from $100 off to $149 off.

Just got off the phone with customer service at the main WDW number, they will not confirm any price increase officially and they will not make any comments about 3rd party website information. If the price increase is coming on Sunday, then it would be official on Sunday according the WDW. I didn't try calling member services to see what information they would tell me.

So it looks like we'll need to drive to WDW tomorrow and buy PAP renewal priced vouchers in order to keep from having to pay higher prices when our renewal comes up in later this year. Time to shell out close to $1100. :(

I looked at the website, it looks like the ad (which was at the bottom of the page) just got pushed off the page by a new ad for discounted Cirque du Soleil tickets, so the fact that the ad is gone shouldn't worry you. The discount is still listed under perks.

We bought our AP's online last weekend as I needed them by 2/17 to make FP+ reservations...also happy to buy them before the price goes up!

According to DVC website it states that AP renewal can be made up to 60 days in advance and 30 days after expiration. Is the erroneous information?

Yea, really. It's amazing what folks get all wadded up over sometimes. To me, no news is no news.

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. I already bought a new AP in December even though I am not going until this December.

Are AP vouchers "refundable?" As in you buy today knowing tomorrow they increase....and then tomorrow the discount actually increases? I don't believe the discount will increase....but it has happened.

Acording to the DVC CM who I purchased from today they are non-refundable and non-transferable. I have heard from some on the boards that they do help you when situations like this arise as long as you have not activated the ticket yet. We will have to see what happens, I bought mine today because I have to have it in 20 days for my FP+ start and I did not feel like adding 40-50 to the cost. At least I only paid the renewal cost. the thing that stinks is that it expires March 28th 2016 adn our Spring Break starts March 28, 2016. I guess that means we do some fall travel instead of spring.

I believe that is correct information. However, I was talking specifically buying renewal vouchers which is probably confusing - I would be redeeming a voucher when we get closer to our renewal date.
