Hello fellow Disney fans!!!:yay:

I have only just registered today so i might have a few teething problems.

My Boyfriend and I have visited Disneyland Paris twice this year and we are currently planning a trip which covers the New Year celebrations. We didn't know about the annual pass until recently and have found it increasingly difficult to get anywhere.

When i contacted the booking line they told me that they couldnt give me a quote for Bed and Breakfast and i would have to buy the package. This confused me because you book your room in the American parks and buy everything on top of hotel.

What i'm trying to get at, is i would like to know if there is a way i can book bed and breakfast at a Disneyland Paris hotel without the tickets and then just purchase my Dream passport on arrival to Disney. Or, is there any way i can buy my Dream passport without visiting the passport office in the Dsineyland Park?

Thanks everyone.
Lindsay

Hi Lindsay, welcome to the boards!

There are some very useful threads on here from Annual Passport holders - unfortunately I don't know much about them, except that on expedia you can sometimes get room only deals, or if you speak to someone knowledgable at Disneyland Paris direct, they should also be able to do this.

AFAIK, you need to buy a one day pass to get into the park on arrival, then go to the annual passport office in fantasyland and swap your day pass and get your annual passport sorted out.

hope this helps - and what a great time to go!

Thank you for your valuable information.

I will take a look on expedia and see how the price compares with Disney direct.

Thanks again.

We just got back last friday after buying our anual passes, i would advise you to keep trying the telephone number as i booked room only with the discount before we had purchased our AP's. Judging by other reports i seem to have been lucky to get a understanding CM who didnt mind doing this for me! :thumbsup2 Also i have a copy of the form so they can be pre purchased although it is written only in french, but your welcome to it if you wanted it???

With the Dream AP you would get a disount on the room of between 10% - 30% (we got the santa fe for £51 per night). Once we arrived (drove over from Middlesex) we checked in with no problems (the CM at booking advised me we may need to produced the AP's at check-in although we thought we would try our luck and they didnt even mention it!)

We then got settled in the room and headed over to buy the AP's, we paid for ours at guest relations which is to the right of the entrance (161 euro for the dream with a DIS sponsor) and they issued us with a temp pass to get in and then 5 minutes in the AP office and we had our perm passes!!! easy as that  With the draeam pass you also get a discount of 20% in the shops and 10% in restaurants and counter service!!!! When i got back i added up the savings we had made on the discounts alone and it was 150 euro, so one pass has nearly paid for itself!!!! :rotfl:

Hi Lindsay and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

As above it is worth trying again until you get a CRO to give you room only booking :)

Hi Lindsay

I'm sure you can apply by post for an annual pass but like Reid suggests I'd keep trying the booking line as you should be able to book without an annual pass.

You could also look at some of the offsite hotels. I can personally recommend the Marriot but have also read good reports of the Holiday Inn and Explorers.

If you want an extra 10% discount on purchasing your passes you could also check out the sponsorship thread.:goodvibes

We have stayed at both the Explorers and Holiday Inn and would recommend both. They are both very close (just across the main road from Santa Fe) - HI can be booked on their own website and Explorers on Expedia.

We also found the Dream pass more or less paid for itself with discounts

Hi

I tried to book bed and breakfast only and the only way I've managed it is through expedia. I tried ringing disney several times and got the same response that you need the annual pass first. The first time I rang the lady suggested that I book a non disney hotel. We wanted to stay at the hotel new york though.

I also emailed disney because to me it seems crazy that you can't book room only when you are intending to buy an annual pass when you arrive. I got the same response from them though.

But as I said I've now booked through expedia and went through quidco which saved me 6%.

Morning all!!!

Thanks for all your help.

I am going to try my luck with the Disney telephone booking line a few more times and if it looks as though i'm not getting anywhere i will book through expedia.

I appreciate the recommendations of the non disney hotels although for this trip we will probabaly stay in a Disney hotel because i want to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours.

Mrs Stonfiesta, thanks for the offer of the AP form. Please can you email it to me (as long as it's electronic) and any guidance you might be able to give me on how to fill the form in would be much appreciated.

I will let you all know how i got on.

:cheer2:

P.S - can anyone tell me what hours the shuttle buses operate between the hotels and the park?

You get extra magic hours as soon as you buy your Dream passes - even if staying at an offsite hotel.

The shuttles from the Disney hotels run from very early (around 7am I think) every 10 minutes or so all through the day and night until very late (well after dark and after the shops and restaurants in the Village have closed).

We're staying in the Hotel L'Elysee - booked room only via expedia, but we still get the magic hours with our room card apparantly :D

Can't help with the shuttles though sorry - its our first time staying at DLP !
HTH :)

The Disney Brochure mentioned that magic hours are included in the ticket for the l'elysee hotel, but not for the other associated hotels i don't think?!

I've booked my stay at the Santa Fe and managed to get through to the most helpful booking person. I managed to book bed and breakfast only and i still managed to get the 10% AP discount without having yet purchased my AP. The booker advised me that i have to buy my AP before checking into the hotel which is grand.

I can get excited now!!!:goodvibes

unfort the forms i have to purchase the AP before travel are hard copies only and they are completly in french (hence why we didnt use them!):confused3 I would be happy to pop them in the post for you if you still want them, just PM me a postal address. :thumbsup2
