We are going down in September with 10 family members total while we are down there my in-laws will be having their wedding anniversary. We are on the Disney Dining Plan and would like to take them to a nice table service meal ones that cost just one credit? Could you give me any ideas which restaurant might be the best one to take them two for a nice family celebration!

I like Chefs de France best.

There are a lot of good ones in Epcot. My personal favorite is Le Cellier, with Chefs, Alfredos & Rose and Crown running a close second.

For something a little more unusual, Morocco might be interesting.

i say coral reef..look at my pic and youll see why..they will personalize a menu for tehm and a diver will come down into the tank for them. its free as long as you call them. directly and arrange it. and its in the dd

Unfortunately, it's hard to think of many 1TS credit restaurants that would be nice for an anniversary dinner anymore -- most of them are so unbelievably crowded and noisy, now, with the Dining Plan, that there's not a hint of ambience in most of them.

Perhaps Kona Cafe at the Polynesian? Maybe Olivia's at Old Key West? We haven't been there in a long time, but it was nice last time we were there.

If they like buffets, Boma might be nice -- AKL is a beautiful hotel and it's fun to walk out and see the animals in the savannah -- especially interesting at night if you find where they're letting people use the night vision goggles.

A lot will suggest Le Cellier in Epcot, although we weren't that impressed when we went and it's apparently hard to get reservations.

Are they the type that would like a character dinner? I think character meals are something of an acquired taste and unless there are children in the party it's a taste I really haven't acquired! But, others enjoy them. I'd stay away from Chef Mickey's in any event -- too frantic.

In World Showcase, I'm not sure I'd tackle any of the usual 1TS suspects. I'd consider Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion. It's usually not as crowded as the other places, was pretty good last time we were there, and there is usually some type of entertainment featuring Moroccan musicians and a belly dancer.

Just beware, any 1TS place you go to is likely to be extremely crowded and crawling with children. There, I've said it! You just have to deal with it, or try a 2TS place (and no guarantee it won't also have lots of kids, too) or eat off site (probably not a good idea if you're on DDP).

I see two suggestions here that I really like, and I'll offer a couple of other thoughts.

The first one I like is Coral Reef. Not only for the special ambiance and recognition that's available, but also because it's less crowded and less noisy. And the food's quite good!

The other suggestion that I would not have thought of -- but which is really important for your event -- is that a great 1 TS restaurant is not necessarily a great choice for a big event like a major anniversary. I dearly love Le Cellier...but frankly, it would be the wrong place for a dinner like you want. It's great food, but it's just too darn crowded and too darn loud.

Two other ideas. The first is Teppanyaki. It's not uncrowded, nor is it especially quiet. But it's different, and can be a nice atmosphere for a self-contained group of 10. (I'm not sure how many diners the tables hold, but 10 seems about right.) Teppanyaki (IMHO) is okay food, but fun dining.

The other idea is a combo. The first part of the combo is doing a "heavy" CS for dinner one night to "bank" the TS credit. Cosmic Ray's ribs or ribs & chicken platter comes to mind, but there are other options. Then, take that credits you saved and go to California Grill (2TS) for Wishes! Now that's an Anniversary Dinner!
