I just read that the special 75th Anniversary Mickey Statues have taken an early road trip to appear at the Disney Shareholders Meeting in Philadelphia. This is earlier than they were expected to leave the park. They will spend two weeks after the meeting being refurbished and then begin their national tour. They are not expected to return to WDW prior to their auction. The Orlando Sentinel has an article on people who are disappointed since they planned their trip especially to see the statues.

Being a shareholder, does anyone (maybe a lurking CM) have details on seeing them there. I was planning to go to Philly this summer but there will only be 15 statues. If I can see all 75 because of being a shareholder (and probably smaller crowd) that would be great.,

TIA
Sandy

I just clarified my original post. It sounds like they should be available for viewing right at the meeting.

Thanks for the info PamOKW. I went and read the article because we also were looking forward to seeing the Mickeys on our trip in April and wondered where they had gone. There was a hot discussion regarding this on the news and rumor board. At least now we know for sure where they went, but sad to hear they won't be back.

:(
