Annabelle's Wish

In 1997 a wonderful Christmas movie made it's debut on video named Annabelle's Wish and it was created by Ralph Edwards "the co-creator of The People's Court" and tells the story of Billy a little boy who refuses to speak and a little calf named Annabelle who wishes to become one of Santa's reindeer. Annabelle's Wish features a wonderful holiday soundtrack and country singer Randy Travis provides the narration of Annabelle's Wish and also sings the theme song of the movie. When I saw clips of Annabelle's Wish on Youtube I knew this was the movie where Disney got the idea for Wish because like Star in Wish Santa Claus gives the animals the gift of talking much like Star gives Valentino in Wish. Did you ever see Annabelle's Wish when it first debuted in 1997?

I didn't even know about Annabelle's Wish until Christmas 1997 when I saw store displays and merchandise on it and so I decided to see what the hype was about. In the 1998 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Randy Travis was on an Annabelle's Wish float promoting the movie and singing the theme song and I understood why Annabelle's Wish was so popular. I then found the video on clearance at Kmart but didn't buy it. But I saw clips of Annabelle's Wish on Youtube and the animation is fantastic and Randy Travis's narration makes Annabelle's Wish really superb. The strange thing is Annabelle's Wish has never been seen on TV or released on DVD since 1997. And with Randy Travis being very popular Annabelle's Wish should be a well-known Christmas movie even more
