Anna and Elsa Returning to Epcot?

I think that the fact that the space used in Norway for the A&E meet is still "walled off" definitely indicates something is up.

They could have easily returned that space to merchandise space by now.

Also,when I asked the Norway Cast if they thought Malestrom was going to be "Frozenized",they said all they had heard were rumors,but I really got the "vibe" from them that they know for sure it is coming.

This in and if itself causes tremendous skepticism in my book.

To my way of thinking, having an A&E Meet & Greet in MK and an A&E Meet & Greet in Epcot (Norway) will likely mean that many guests will want to meet the Frozen gals in BOTH LOCATIONS during a WDW trip. Rather than solving a single problem, this "fix" might nearly be doubling it.

Oh my - that would seriously happen, wouldn't it.


Maybe they are just looking for another Tier 1 attraction...

I can see another Elsa and Anna meet and greet opening soon and that would be easy but redoing a ride I don't see that happening by fall.

To be clear, I will start by saying that I personally don't at all like the idea of converting Maelstrom to a Frozen-themed ride. I agree that it does not fit with the overall concept of World Showcase, and I too fear that a simple overlay done quickly could look "cheap".

All that being said, I understand completely why Disney might do this. First, it allows Disney to capitalize on Frozen fever by drawing Frozen fans to yet one more park (they have already have A&E M&G in MK, and apparently something else going on at Studios; who knows, maybe a Frozen-themed reindeer exhibit at AK will be next). Additionally, by making use of Maelstrom, they add capacity that far exceeds what is provided by a M$G alone; where the M&G can handle about 100 people per hour, Maelstrom can handle about 1,000 per hour, allowing many more parents to give their kids some Frozen experience, even if it is not necessarily a M&G. Plus, regarding whether the ride conversion will look cheap or tacky, keep in mind that the primary audience for A&E is overwhelmingly children (adult A&E fans don't come unglued on me; I said children are the primary audience, not the only audience!), and they are simply less likely to perceive that kind of thing the same way us adults would.

She was just pointing out that her daughter is a CM. CM's sign very specific Confidentiality Agreements that Disney take very seriously and will terminate those who breach them, as all companies do. Even if her daughter isn't the source of the info, it can put her in a difficult situation - and her daughter's co-workers - having her mother run a Disney Rumors website.

It's not a position I'd want to be in.......

I am totally against changing Maelstrom into a Frozen themed attraction. Please don't change World Showcase into another commercial for Disney movies. NO NO NO

I think capitalizing on the movie frozen is amazing! I think having two m&g in multiple parks is also great, however changing maelstrom is wrong in my opinion. It is already a great ride for what is currently is and they have much unused space is most parks so placing a frozen themed ride elsewhere would be better. Of course we all know if they think they can generate higher numbers on a frozen ride in place of maelstrom in Norway they will 100% do it! they only want numbers.

Frozen Summer Fun-Live is really well done considering it is a "last minute" production.

Certainly the movie at Norway could use an update. (The Martin Short touch at Canada helped.) I think it's possible to update both Maelstrom and the movie with a Frozen flair without totally losing Norway authenticity too.

There is already fantasy mixed in with reality and history on Maelstrom. The trolls in Frozen are much less creepy and wouldn't Grand Pabbie look adorable popping out at ride goers? Much less creepy since he's a known character.

Actually she did more than point out that her daughter is a CM by saying she hopes she can find a job. I am well aware of confidentiality agreements as I am sure she is. Her site has been around much longer than her daughter has been a CM and will most likely continue to be around when her daughter is no longer a CM. I run a website myself and there are many ways that we receive information that has nothing to do with CM's since they are often the last ones to know things. Quite often the information is received directly from Disney.

The princesses have already been in Akershus for a long time.

They ruined the Stave Church exhibit with the Frozen stuff.

Go for it. Make the whole place an Ice Castle or Arendelle or whatever.
