Animation Academy

I did it twice in one day in December. I enjoyed not knowing which character at the outset and watching to see who "appeared".

FWIW, the times I've done AA at DHS they spend about 5 minutes at the beginning of the class voting on who to draw. So you know very well who you're going to end up with on your page at the end.

For my first 10 trips to WDW, I just didn't do this, and I don't know why. There's so much to do - it probably just got lost in the shuffle.

And then I tried it. I can't begin to tell you how delightful it was. Although I am highly creative, I never could draw. So here I was ... a 56 year old woman on a solo trip, and I walked out of there with a tear in my eye.
I really did draw a recognizable character.

:yay:

My DH won the artists drawing of Goofy when we did this. He answered a trivia question and won. "What character did Goofy play in the animated feature, A Christmas Carol?" DH answered 'Bob Marley'. The artist laughed and said, 'Close enough! But his REAL name was Jacob Marley!'

Love this. We got Stitch (I was annoyed cause the group before us got Pooh, my favorite lol).

Opinion: too slow for a 5 year old? I am willing to bet his drawing will be better than mine but don't know if he would be bored. (Last time we did it, it was BC (before child).
